No Waze Audio Alerts through DSR1 - 2020 CarPlay JBL

Yeah, my guess is still something integration related. I want to try a some things but haven't had the time. For now I have to decide what's more important each trip, connect thru CarPlay and miss the audio -- or connect thru Bluetooth to get all audio and lose the screen and functionality of CarPlay. It sucks since CarPlay is one of the reasons I upgraded to 2020.

 

Is there not a setting for volume setting in Weblink Desktop when flashing the DSR1? I'd try setting "Beep Level" to something >6 and see what happens.

 

I've had good luck with Carplay2air. There's an occasional hiccup in audio but it's been super stable and reliable for me. Allows me to place phone on wireless charger and have Apple Carplay.

 

I have some more work to do this week I. The system so I’ll pull the DSR out and reflash, try that suggestion and see what I get.

 

I tried the following:

flashed DSR to beep at 8 (I think, 6+ for sure). 2019 Tundra with JBL plus amp (or sub, whatever that checkbox is). No center, prompt through front left and right. no prompts

flashed DSR to beep at 8. 2019 Tundra with JBL plus amp. center prompts only no audio, wired with tweeters. No prompts.

Another development I have is the front 6x9 are not putting out the volume they should. Tweeters volume are good (they suck but the volume is there). Also flashed to no sound levelizer and when I change that on the HU the bass increases 50%.

 

Any updates to this issue?
