The Tundra is the first vehicle I've ever had a strong urge to mod. Never wanted anything but stock wheels on my vehicles, but @SCSPerformance ruined that for me with the Ray 10 wheels. Bought the TRD off road so I wouldn't have to mod, and then I saw what they were calling skid plates from the factory... @RCIoffroad had a nice sale and an engine skid turned into engine, trans, and tank skids, and rock sliders too. Had to get the bed lined. Now wheels and tires are the plan. Still not sure I'll lift it, but who knows never thought I'd need wheels either.

I'm cool with stock...not that mods don't look good...some of them anyway. Some of the stuff you guys do to your trucks looks absolutely horrible. Some of it looks fantastic. Honestly, I wouldn't mind some wheels and tires that I have seen, but even when I have toyed with it, my wife says no. I get it...we have family things that extra money goes to, so I don't make a big deal of it. Neither of us ever does anything financially selfish like that...and when we have strayed, the other quickly corrects the path. LOL.

Glad you enjoy and have the ability to mod. If it was something that was really important to me, then it would be an issue not being able to do it, so I am glad that on a personal level, I am good with stock. Love looking at your pictures, though!

Stock trucks suck. You at least need to at the OEM ash tray/cup holder like me. I noticed an immediate 10+ HP and started looking for Fords and Chevys to beat off the line but couldn’t find any because they were all at the shop being serviced. And the Rams I heard we’re at the local Pick and Pull for an instant cash offer.

I wouldn't say the suck. I think even a stock Tundra is better than the alternative.

Well said. But the beauty of the mod is in the eyes of the owner. And I am married 34 years using the same "Neither of us ever does anything financially selfish" philosophy.

I really do like my Tundra the way it is. I heavily modified my 69 Corvette. But the rule before I modified was... "What is the car not doing that you wanted it to do and what modification will fix it?" Now the car is heavily modified to make it more competitive on the track (road race, NOT drag race)

Honestly the best thing about the idea of mods is that we only think about them from our own point of view.

I look at all of them here and have rarely even considered any of the purely cosmetic ones that I see, just of zero interest to me at all.

Sorry. I thought my post was obviously sarcastic but I’ll clarify now. My truck is very much so “stock”. I prefer it this way myself.

I added the TRD rear sway bar, TRD exhaust, and a stubby little antenna. Otherwise I'm really content with everything else staying stock.

Everything I own has been modified. Shit I even built my own chopper ground up and still wasn't satisfied with it so I modified that.

    None. Stock from the dealership.
Yes, everything you see on the truck (except the trailer ball/stinger) was purchased from and installed by the dealer (they even removed my old license plate and installed it on the new truck) before we left the dealership.

Me... I am a girl so I don't really get into the "mods". I just buy it and drive it as is, I don't really get excited about adding stuff or changing it. The only thing I added was steps to get in because I am only 5'4".

Same here. Any modifications must have a utilitarian benefit, and are weighed by cost/benefit analysis. I can sell her on a winch or better (within reason) off road suspension because I hunt alone a lot, but changing shit just to look cool doesn’t fly.
