Hello members. About a year ago I made an attempt to upgrade the audio sound on my truck without any luck. Basically because there was no option that would let me retain the bluetooth operability. A year has gone by and wanted to try again. The original sound is very bad. Someone told me about these two options. The idalink maestro DSR 1 with the dT01 and the JL Fix 86.
Im looking for some suggestions and experiences with one or the other.

    Thank you in advance.

I had the fix86 in my last Tundra. I overall was not a fan. I know there are members here that like it. My issue was you calibrate it at a specific output volume from the HU. So say 48(if I remember right). It is calibrated only at that level and wants to be the new master controller of the volume. So to use it properly you need another volume knob and leave the HU alone. I was going to get rid of it and swap to an aftermarket HU. Also if you want better sound quality don’t use Bluetooth. Use the usb cable.

replacing the headunit w maestro rr and all door speakers(hertz) & sub with james@tech12volt.com

Believe it or not it made my jbl system sound so much better. I’m not saying it’s as good as an aftermarket amp but it did make a big difference.

Thank you for your input. Note: by bluetooth connectivity I meant the phone calls. Only the dash speakers are used for these calls, right? Im using the usb cable to hear my music from the phone.
