Only speaking about a fire but insurance paid me for all my tools and shop equipment when our garage burned down.

@empty_lord I would double check that with your insurance. It might cost a little extra but you should be able to add your tools onto the policy. Obviously you won't get reimbursed if you lose 1 tool because it's likely less than your deductible but in the event of a major event they should cover the tools.

Or shop around for a better insurance company...

    +1

I specifically asked, and my tools are covered by my homeowners. They said I just need to have reciepts or pics for an inventory.

Also, the same can be said if you have a decent gun collection. Most home owners policies will only pay out around $2,500 for guns total, not individually. I believe many here have big collections. If you want them to be covered you have to pay a little extra and document them all. That's what I did and the total cost wasn't much, maybe $120 a year.

I pay extra for the gun stuff (way too much $$ in the form of firepower)

1)the home's mortgage may be paid but property tax is forever. You no pay, it's all gone.
    2) wifey gets a bug up her butt and attorneys are called. You no pay, it's all gone.
Mine and all paid for is a loose term

That's why we have downsized, well kinda. Our present home has 4 small rentals and we live in a 1200 sqft 1/1. At the moment I am not sure which of my tenants can pay there rent, 1 is working from home and 2 are kinda on furlough. Damn covid-19 is making things really tuff

Here's part of my unfinished basement; plenty enough for this 50 year old. 600lbs of free weights and a pair of Powerblocks that go to 90lbs each. I have an elliptical and a treadmill also though they do not get used much...

Reason I only allow one handed model shoots is because the government takes 50% in taxes. Saves me from paying.
