Did you have a cap for it before? And do you like that rubber mat that lays in the bed? I don’t have a cap but am thinking about getting one of those mats

The bed mat is awesome! I keeps things from sliding around all the time, and it's easy on the hands and knees if you have to crawl up into the bed.

I had two different LEER caps on this truck, the original was a hi-top that was replaced when it started to crack after 16 years of service, LEER no longer makes a 8 foot long hi-top so I replaced it with a cab height cap. After quickly realizing that I could not work out of a cab height cap, I replaced it with this extra high cap.

Reminds me of the aluminum cap I had on an 87 Toy P/u, but was a low profile model.

Mine looks kind of like that. Well, it did before about a dozen holes, insulation, wood trim and several solar panels.

    2005 SR5 access cab TRD 4x4 68k (now almost 70k)

Found a LEER 122 taken off a T100 for $200, things are impossible to find and luckily wasn't too far out of the way back home. Literally the only one I could find that would fit a 1st gen.

Yes, I actually traded the color matched ARE cover + $200 for it. I was gonna buy it outright for $400 and keep both, but couldn't fit the cover in the shell. Might've been able to trade it outright, but used all my haggling patience on the truck.

You guys make me want to spend insane amounts of money on my truck, and I will in the future. Now is the time to hunker down.

Saving is not easy browsing this forum

    Tire rotation yesterday before work.

Other than that, and ordering 1/4 backer rod for cheap, and consumables (gas, oil changes). No more moneys for my truck for a while.

By my estimation, this forum has cost me at at least $5,000. It's a terrible influence.

$5,000.......I'm at $14,895.86 so far with an estimated $7,000 left... $5,000 is labor doing the all the suspension work, timing belt, water pump, starting, knock sensors etc and probably $2,000 of what's left will be labor when I have the gears changed and the locker installed but I don't have the area or tools to do most of this currently so have to pay to play :)

I meant to include this morning, but forgot.
I am excluding things that were needed such as a radiator, tires, etc.

Just things I wanted. Deer guard, leds, etc.

If I do all the math together I'm at $2,000 at least.

Before I found this forum I was just trying different led headlights. Mainly Amazon chinese specials. Some worked, some didn't. I spent too much money on that alone.

I had not paid attention to the corner markers before but your comment made me realize that they are different than most all the others I've seen. As far as I know they are factory. The passenger side was replaced by a body shop in 2017 after an accident.

Funny, the same day I posted that pic, I saw another Tundra DC with the same turn signal lights as I have.
