Convex mirror

I want a convex mirror for the bottom outside conners of the top mirror in the circle to see the outer lanes since I like keeping my bottom mirror for seeing curbs and parking lines. I have looked at some on Amazon but just wanted to see what others were using square vs round. I am keeping my OEM mirrors and I’m not open to replacing the whole assembly Thanks in advance.

I have them on each side. You can see the bottom of the rear tires, and it makes cutting my trailer into the driveway very easy because I can also see the bottom of those tires in the spot mirror as well.

Not for OP since you're keeping the Toyota ones, but for others considering this - GM style mirrors the convex mirror is big enough to get both your tires and half the 2nd lane over. The Toyota convex tow mirrors are just too small. If they were 1-2" taller than they'd be good for seeing both like Ford or GM tow mirrors. And to those looking at switching the GM ones cost the same as Toyota style on eBay.

 

So the reason I was against the aftermarket tow mirror was I thought I saw a couple that didn’t sit level/square with the door (tilted up). After looking on eBay they don’t seem bad. Do you have experience with these mirror’s? Are they plug and play with the run and turn signals? The GM have the spot light built in, would I hAve to wire them up to a switch?

 

Love mine - that picture should give you an idea for how square they sit. Totally plug and play like the Toyota OEM (I had them on my truck before these) mirrors for power, heat, and turn signal. I wired up the spot light to the cargo light circuit which already has the switch in the dash. And you can get the GM ones with blind spot monitoring which others have had experience with - can't remember if it worked just as well or if it required a couple wires de-pinned and swapped.


There's one with Toyota OEM style for you to compare the tilt to. I think the GM ones are a tad off square, but it certainly doesn't affect the visibility from them which is so much better on them than both the OEM styles. The one downside to them is that they're big, they block the view forward a bunch. It takes a little getting used to but the improved visibility back is worth it IMO.
