My new to me 14WA (GX460) brakes!! Paid $80 for everything!! Can't wait to get these on but not sure when the time will arise. With all this coronavirus panic, may get the opportunity to work from home for a couple weeks so if that happens then I'll have some time to knock these out. Have to do slight modification but I think I can do that.

VERY nterested to hear how this works for you and what you have to do to them to make it work. It's on my list for sure if people report the braking is significantly improved. Since they are used calipers, I assume you are going to rebuild them first?

I'm officially requesting a tag when you finally get to installing these. Not sure why I want... But I do!

My work is mostly separated from this hysteria, but I'm already getting people requesting that they work night shift until schools open again. Even if I have to make every part myself we will hit our goal this month haha. Unless banks start pulling orders, which I don't see happening for a week or so if it happens at all. Oh and if we can still get our freaking outsourced items from Asia. I knew there was a reason I hated getting major components from China besides just waiting weeks for the boat, bad communication, and high failure rates. I guess all that didn't give me the warm fuzzies that they would deliver when we really needed.

I'm upgrading from the 13we's so it should be significant. For install, it's a direct bolt-on with slight milling of the mounting ears (~3mm). For rebuilding, the Lexus it came off of was meticulously serviced with only 80k so I'm going to just install them (unless I notice something while cleaning) . I will probably wire wheel them to clean them up a bit.

    I will try to remember!!

For the pandemic, I'm sure it will have an effect on our business but not sure how much. Hopefully, it runs its course quickly and we move on. I have too good of a year already sold/planned that I can't have falling apart!

@imDementeD how are you planning to carve off the the ear?

I'm waiting to see how these working term, I'd probably have to get 17" wheels first since my 16" wheels barely clear my WL calipers.

Local machine shop. I'll post cost once completed. Calling them Monday to get it set up.

Def will need 17s. I'm not sure I would have tried this if I had WLs but since I have WEs I was going to upgrade regardless so glad to try these. Will report feedback once completed.

A lot of guys who swap to WL swear it's a big improvement. I've had a long suspicion that this has more to do with fresh pads on freshly purged brake lines. When I went to WL my lines had been bled only 3 months prior and I think the difference was negligible.

Those WA look pretty promising. One other thing I'm curious about is clearance from coilovers. Most aftermarket coilovers for these trucks have the lower spring perch high upto clear the brake line at the caliper. Wonder if these calipers have the connection point high enough up to be in the danger zone. Edit: now looking at them the line placement is like 13WG calipers, shouldn't be a problem.

Installed a fresh timing belt, water pump, thermostat, etc. and the serpentine belt yesterday. Hoping to make time to replace the plugs and the PCV this afternoon.
Also been battling a vibration which turned out to be my KO2's out of balance though they were balanced twice before for this problem; the Road Force balance did the trick. I'll store my carrier bearing for a bit.

She's running great and nearing 67k miles, all is good!

I have a flight wobble from my KO2s at 65mph but not bad enough to bother me. I've heard this is common for that tire. What is a road force balance?

I touched up a couple of tiny stone chips on both sides of my truck, and then began working on the front of the hood. The front of the hood is a mess, the paint has cracked & blistered and now it looks like it has freckles. I am debating on having it painted, or sprayed with Line-X. The only other option that I can think of is leaving it alone, and letting the weather do it's thing.

Grabbed a quote from Google (below) , easier than using my own words. Made a huge difference!

Road force balancers, in addition to performing a traditional spin balance, measure both the wheel and tire by pressing a large roller against the tread of the spinning tire. The roller applies 1,200 to 1,400 pounds of pressure to simulate the weight of the vehicle on the tire as it rolls down the road.

That's the process my dealer used to balance the TOYO tires on my other Tundra, they ride nice and smooth now.

Got started early today. There were two "wings" that hung down below the steel bumper that I painted with "rhino" liner to try to match the textured black powder. I think they turned out well. I also, removed the stock skid plate to do the same. Once it dries a bit more, I will toss it on and take completion pics. Really need to pressure wash under the skid plate but that will be another day!

Looks great. I'm interested to see if the skid plate ruins the lines at all. I took mine off and need to build a replacement because I couldn't stand the looks of it. Mine was also rusty so it stood out. I think I undercoated my wings and almost just did a miter cut on them too.

There are (2) small pieces that I plan to cut off but because the washer fluid container is on the passenger wing, I didn't want to cut the driver side so left it matching.

I think the stock skid plate will look fine with the bumper (now that it's cleaned up) but I still plan to upgrade to the Skid Row plates at some point. I want that extra protection and the weight since I went with heavier springs planning for the future weight! I think my next "big" purchase has to be the winch though. That will add a good 80lbs upfront.

Since I have nothing else to do this week I waxed the bed of my truck and put the rubber mat back in place. Hopefully that will keep the tiny surface rust at bay.

Ouch; seems pretty high to me. Could be your location though... Guess I'm lucky I had a capable friend that was willing to help.
I think $1,200ish is closer to what i am used to seeing.

Added battery powered led light to replace broken in Leer shell. Initially I wanted to replace with a hardwired unit (actually bought one) but that's just too much trouble and I hate to have wires sticking out all over the place just for a dome light I might use every so often. This was much easier and you can add actually lights in other places because they go into the camper shell screw holes that are already there so if I want to add two more at the front of the cab then I could. If you turn that light on and you get up in the cab that most of it will be behind you so I think in time I'm going to add one or two lights near the cab window so that I'm not blocking the light when I get in. Haven't turned it on at night.

That is literally double what I paid at the dealer. The only difference is that I did the thermostat/serpentine myself. But that's extremely easy to replace so it shouldn't impact the price much.

You need to get more quotes or consider sourcing the OEM parts yourself and paying an independent shop to do the labor.

It sounds like they are charging you labor on parts that they have to remove anyways, to get to the timing belt. That's stupid.
