Not exactly sure of the size, but I got a quote from James at Tech12volts for JL Audio C1-650's for all four doors.

They come with the the JL Audio C1 Tweeters which are 3/4 in size. Mignt try reaching out to James he would know for sure.

I installed Kenwood Component speakers and the tweeter fit perfectly after removing the Kenwood tweeter mounting hardware/grill and just use the naked tweeter. It will take you about a minute to pop off the factory tweeter cover on the door and take a look or measure the stock tweeter. Pic from Crutchfield showing the stock tweeter.

OP, 3/4 to 1 inch tweeters is pretty much the norm. Just get yourself a nice 6.5 inch component set within your budget. I mean it's not like your door is going to have 6.5 inch tweeters. LOL

Weadjust, What model of kenwood speakers did you go with? And are you satisfied. I have the "JBL" 6 speaker system, found out the hard way after my speakers disinegrated from age that the speakers are toyota specific (pair with the stock amp). I replaced the head unit & speakers, epic fail, sounded like crap. Returned the speakers and have been a 1 speaker system for a year. Now looking to pull the amp and wire straight from the new head unit. Looking for "drop in" component speakers with good sound... Unless any of you have found a correct ohm speaker to work with the JBL system that doesnt cost $400 each (OEM Replacement)

In the front doors I used Kenwood KFCP510PS Component Speakers. I went with these speakers because they have a inline crossover so I wouldn't have to mount a crossover in the door and Crutchfield website said 5.25" was the correct size to use. I bought the speakers from Amazon. A 6" or 6.5" would also have fit in the front doors after doing the install. I have been pleased with the sound. I installed Rockford Fosgate P16 Punch 6" 2-way Full-Range speakers in the back doors.

Wow Toyotaholic, Quarantine must be getting to you. Do I detect a little pent up frustration and hostility? If you must know, I intend on posting pics and updating my profile, Just haven't had the time. Being a Firefighter /EMT and a Trauma Nurse in the ED, I have found myself quite busy working 2 jobs and 36 -60 hrs of overtime each month since December. I had searched the forum when I joined in November (when my speaker problem started) There was a little info. As well as 1 full write up on utilizing the existing amp. However, Not to many people voice specific model numbers and satisfaction with all the different setups. Since this was a New thread as of last month, I though I would inquire with weadjust his opinion. I apologise that you had to read my thread or question, and that you felt obligated to respond in such an exasperated way. Perhaps you should try yoga...https://youtu.be/Dkk9gvTmCXY

Weadjust, Thanks for the reply. I also have considered a set of 6 3/4 set of Kickers I found back in November.
https://www.bestbuy.com/site/kicker...nes-pair-yellow-black/6333347.p?skuId=6333347. Just afraid to pull the trigger, still doing research and deciding if I really want to rewire the system and add extra components which when all said and done would cost the same as buying stock replacements... And.. this is soon to be my "work truck". Got my eye on the 2020 or 21 Taco.... If this overtime continues. I truly appreciate the info. thanks again.
