Hey everyone. I just finished installing my auto nanny bypass harness from @MikeBeach

    The install was very simple.

    1. Remove lower dash piece off under the steering wheel.

    2. Remove the under dash fuse panel cover. There is an add-a-fuse to tie into the 15amp cigarette fuse. This requires leaving the panel cover off. I am storing my panel cover inside the under hood fuse box.

    3. Push the traction control button out of the slot and unplug the wire. This can be done by fishing your fingers up from the lower panel void.

    4. I cleaned a bit of sheathing off the yellow wire behind the trac button to ensure a positive contact. Then clip the add-a-wire onto the yellow wire. Plug the pigtail into the add-a-wire clip.

    CE8F0219-C8FE-40E5-9C89-F07CAD8BF561.jpg

    5. Find yourself a proper ground point to tie the ground to. I used a dash frame bolt just above the fuse panel. (circled in the pic)
    A1EF4EFE-46E6-457D-9128-4281CFB434CF.jpg

    6. Plug the add-a-fuse into the 15 amp cigarette fuse. FYI on my install I found the add-a-fuse orientation mattered. I didn’t have power until I flipped the add-a-fuse 180 degrees.

    7. Reinstall the dash piece.

    8. Fire your truck up and watch in amazement as your nannies turn themselves off for you :) :) :)

Thanks again @MikeBeach for the harness! This thing is a game changer for me!

It’s honestly the coolest upgrade for the price. Now that they bypassed steady it feels like a pretend locker almost. Never lags or stutters when I want it to roar.

I wonder if the bullydog tune works the same with nannies off. I really want to buy this thing now

If you can turn them off with a tuner then it will work. It’s exactly as a button only automatic.

Seriously right? I never have to worry about the computer kicking in and cutting off power.

Funny, I was in a hurry the other day and didn't wait before throwing it in to Drive and nannies didn't turn off... and of course I needed to get across traffic and gunned it and it fell flat on its face....argh! $%@%@%@.

It should work just fine with any aftermarket tuner. Let me know if you're interested in one.

Yes it does. I have a different nanny bypass and had the BD tune last year with bypass and it all worked flawlessly.

So everything is turned off every time you start the truck. Are you able to turn them back on by just pressing the dash button? Wet and ice, the traction control works well.

Correct, button works like normal. I live in Houston where it rains a lot, so I will turn it "on" often if its raining hard enough.

Well, I gotta say, Mike, this is pretty cool and something a lot of folks have asked for over the years. My ECU is tuned by Orange Virus. Any idea if your module would conflict with my trucks programming? I can't see how it would, but thought I'd ask.

@Mountun Goat Dan, your truck has all the goodies, huh!? Nice write up, bud.

I'm tuned by DAP in person and I have no issues. The tune is what made me want nannies off every time the truck turned on.

I havent had the opportunity to try it on a 3rd gen. Someone makes one for a 3rd gen and told me it wouldnt work on my 2nd gen. Thats what made me go figure it out for 2nd gens.

Sending 2 out, lysol'd and gloves used to pack and ship. Ill have 3 ready to go for next week, @Hbjeff has dibs on one of them.

Btw: I'm just a hobbiest and each unit gets better and better. I test them in my truck before I ship to verify the timing is correct, they take about 2 hours to make. Im not trying to make a fortune, just extra tundra money.

    Thanks

I have had this on my truck for about 18 months now and love it! I put a switch on it so I can control it, otherwise it comes on every time you start the truck. Not good if someone else drives it or you go to the dealer. Turn the switch off and no worries. My switch is illuminated so you can see if it is on but it is hidden up under the climate control panel

How much you want for one? And I'm assuming I can throw a switch inline with the + or - lead so I can make it on-demand?

Correct you could add a switch. Judging by the profile picture you have a 3rd gen, as of right now I'm only making it for 2nd gens. There is someone who makes them for 3rd gens already. I test and install every unit it my truck to insure that the timing is correct, so to have a 3rd gen around to do that I doubt I'll get into the 3rd gen market.

    Thanks
    Mike
