Down to 1.10 here, though I hardly care anymore commuting in the old Corolla. Filled it today, 647 km, took 42L. Taking the truck and sled out on the weekends though... I do understand it’s a double-edged sword for you guys in the industry though.

‘01. Was the wife’s until last year, we got her a 15 Camry and I started commuting in the “Jalopy”. 410,000km on it now and doesn't owe us anything, but it still runs great and is fun enough to drive. Keeps some mileage off the Tundra.

Nice! I had a 92 corolla with 580,000km! Still drove like new, and every time I’d check the oil on it, it would look clean as fuk! Should of never sold it!

I'm seeing 81 cents here. We were hoping gas prices would take a while to drop so the refinery could make some money. Oh well.

79.9 at Costco in Grande Prairie today according to gasbuddy.com I'll probably fill up tomorrow or Monday and top up a pair of 20L jerry cans too.

I'm hoping it stays cheap until Thursday so I can fill up just before I put my canopy on and hand calculate fuel economy on the last tank without it.

I have a feeling it will stay cheap for awhile. These oil price wars don't end quickly. Russians are obstinate sons of bitches and Saudis are stubborn mules. Both can afford to keep the price down for a long time trying to get the other to blink.

Right you are, it’s never a quick rebound for oil. Has to slowly bubble back up. How’s gp doing with this cov19 stuff?

The stores are nuts. The Woman made a run yesterday for our weekly fruit and veggies. She didn't bother even trying the produce and meat sections they were so packed. She did grab a bunch of frozen and non-perishable items but the store was absolutely picked through and jammed with people. Every till open, 4 - 5 people lined up at each, full carts averaging $400+. She talked to an employee who worked at the other Safeway who was apparently told that the one store could be closing due to low stock. i can't verify the truth to that thogh. The Woman is also on FB and apparently Costco line ups went all the way back to the meat dept.

We're set for food, water, med supplies and ammunition. I'm just bitchy about not having fruit and veg but I'm sure I can find some at other stores. My biggest concern is work at this point. They've axed our overtime and pushed a few deadlines back in order to keep us working as long as possible.

Walmart Click & Collect. Hopefully our order gets filled

We aren't stocking up, we just want weekly groceries.

Doesn't look like we will go going anywhere for spring break. My wife's work is recommending no travel outside MB. And the kids now have a 3 week spring break

Ouch! Sounds about the same as in Hinton for the stores. We are getting lay offs too. Let us know in April who is leaving. For now I have a job though so I’m happy. And like you I am stocked with ammunition so my fam is good regardless of outcomes

I mean, worst case scenario we get laid off and go ice fishing to stock the freezer right? I haven't hunted in years, so I'm not sure what's in season now but I bet we could pop a couple coyotes. Steve Rinella ate one, can't be that bad. :D

I like Steve and the whole meat eater model. I have lots of 22 rounds, we could make some squirrel jalapeño poppers too :monocle:

Have you checked out his cook books? Man they eat some weird shit. I flipped through one and was like "nope, nope, nope, the fuck?, nope, ok maybe, yum, nope, dude seriously!?" LOL

I love his show and the podcast is good too. His show as actually rekindled a desire to hunt again.

Haha no I haven’t looked through his cook book. I can imagine as I listen to the pod and watch his show. I’m just getting into hunting, so he is just kindling my excitement. I have wanted to try hunt for about ten years now. We hiked around for a few days last season without prevail. This year, I have a week booked off for opening week rifle season. A bud and I are trying for elk :)

Elk are delicious. They can be a challenge though as they prefer more remote areas. I'm planning to head down towards Grande Cache, maybe a bit farther south, and start looking for hike in areas this summer. Most people in AB are truck hunters. Getting off the beaten path carries rewards.

That’s cause people in AB drive big 3s and they don’t trust their trucks! You have to truck to take you on those beaten path :D

I know exactly where your talking about. Actually, about a half hour south of grande cache is where we were scouting last year, sound like we might meet up haha. We hiked through 6km of bush, just the scouting got my blood pumping- it felt like I was meant to be walking around in the remote forest looking for food.
