I am looking to upgrade to LED headlights and was wondering if I will need the resistors I see some of the companies mention. I am having a hard time figuring out which resistors to order if I need them.

Get the 2018+ Toyota Pro LED headlights and the @iHacker harness. Proven Toyota quality, fit, and reliability. Use the search feature for many happy owner experiences.

Only if you convert the incandescent turn signals (weak) in the 2018+ housings to LED bulbs, will you need resistors to eliminate hyperflash. If you convert frontturn signals only, you will need 6 ohm resistor on each side. If you convert fronts and rears you will need a 3 ohm resister each side. Resistors are more easily installed and are safer in the rear behind the tail lights. They generate heat and must be mounted away from anything combustible. I converted front and rear turn signal bulbs, and tail/brake bulbs. I worry more about rear ending than I do oncoming traffic that I can see.

Toyota of Cool Springs has great pricing and a forum discount on shipping (FORUM20? @Roman ).
Sparks has a discount on parts, enter "TUNDRAS.COM" on checkout.

Internet shop for pricing; these are a big ticket item. Consider total price for parts and shipping, and may the best dealer win.

If you were asking about only changing the headlight bulbs to LED, that is a lot cheaper than the $600 for new headlight housings. Many have changed to LED bulbs in the existing housings and are satisfied with the result. Some complain that the halogen headlight housings scatter the light. Use the search feature for experiences on LED headlight bulbs.

Resisters are only needed if the turn signal bulbs are converted to LEDs.

Rack with LED lights, carbon fiber wrap, bumper with winch, rear bumper, lift, and Moto Metal tires.
My next mod is to get LED replacement bulbs. I have Rigid lighting throughout and then factory bulbs for the headlights. And GO TIGERS!

Yeah I plan on doing the LEDs throughout the inside also. Most Definitely GO TIGERS! Maybe we should do Orange LED fogs...

I bought these and I am very pleased with them. I did have to add the resistors only because I added LED amber day time running lights, which is also my turn signal. It did the hyper flash but after the resistors were installed, I have not had an issue.

I upgraded the bulbs only with Phillips LED kit. They are top quality and simple install. Great light output and no problems for 2yrs so far
