So I just went to get my tires rotated and oil changed. Service department recommended I replace my lug nuts as the last person that put them on stripped them using the wrong size bit. He quoted me $17.82 per each lug nut. Uh... excuse me? I know I’m getting old but... what’s the deal here?

Unfortunately, that's what they charge for oem lug nuts.

I JUST changed all of mine to the 2 inch black chrome lugs from gorilla. Great quality and won't break the bank. Look them up, other members here suggested them to me.

I thought the whole set would be $40... maybe $60 because it’s a dealership... but $360??? For lug nuts??? I damn near had to change my shorts. So I’m just hoping it’s because they’re just that much better and the rest of the truck is built with simply that much better parts.

Hey man that’s a ripoff you can get oem lug nuts for between $40-$60 a set online. You mentioned you’re getting old, so don’t know if you could change them yourself, but hell you order them and get a relative or a neighbor to install them for you, I’m sure you got a neighbor that if you tell them I’ll buy the beer they’ll have no problem helping you.

Alright there big cheese, not that old. Haha!! I just didn’t know if I could order one of those sets and have it fit. Like, am I missing something. Yeah I was thinking that’s a ripoff. Glad to know I’m not going crazy. I was wondering if I started sounding like my dad, “what do you mean milk’s not a nickel anymore?”

Go to the local junkyard. They practically give them away.
