Im looking to replace my grille on my 2018 tundra and it says it will only fit 2014-2017 and was wondering is that only because of the sensor in the front ?
    Thanks

Yes, the TSS sensor started in 2018, and as far as I know, there are no after market grills supporting the TSS sensor yet. You have two options, buy a Toyota OEM grill that supports the TSS sensor (grill needs to be 2018 or later), or buy a TSS sensor relocation bracket, and then you can get any grill you want. AJT Designs makes a really affordable one. I have it and it works great.

DB Customz is an aftermarket grille that supports the TSS sensor. Their own bracket is built into the grille.

That DB one looks real nice... With color matching available- best option I've seen imo.

You have any issues with the engine running hotter, since it seems like that grille would restrict some airflow compared to stock.

It looks like the truck is smiling with a mouth full of chiclets for teeth. I’ll take oem options any day over this monstrosity.

Stock gauges show it running the same temp.

Leave my chiclet grille alone dog. Big chiclet guy here.

I have the t-rex aftermarket grill, that is 18+ TSS compatible. It's a regular billet grill with a spot to transfer the whole emblem assembly onto the new grill.

I cannot recommend this grill, as I had to completely take apart the emblem and place it into the grill. I purchased it when they first started manufacturing it, so unless the design has changed, I would stay away from this one. Everything works perfectly functionality wise with the TSS, however the emblem and sensor will never come off this grill...EVER!

Also, the billet grill is bolted to the truck and the grill shell is mounted separately from the grill itself if that makes any sense. Just an FYI

    20191020-4B4A4795.jpg 20191221133301_4B4A5105.jpg

Edit: also... if you decide on an aftermarket grill, make sure to get the TSS recall update done prior!! As you will not be able to get it with an aftermarket grill, no exceptions

Hey I am new to this forum so not even sure if I am doing this right. dbcustomz.com has grilles that work with our TSS sensors. I just placed my order today. So excited!

I doubt the relocation brackets will work with that grill

I don’t believe that grille will work for ‘18+ Tundra’s with the TSS sensor.

That one looks like it will work, coupled with an AJT relocation bracket for the TSS sensor.

Trex makes grills that accommodate TSS.

Exaggerated a little on all sorts lol, thought they made more than they did. In any case, it's another option.

With the LED bar mount built-in? Probably not, unless you were to mount the bracket further up on the center support behind the grill, but that could possibly throw off the TSS geometries to where the TSS system might not work. Of those two, I would definitely try the one without the LED bar.

The Trexbillet ones are nice too...just pricier.

I have a 2020 Tundra Sport, I going to try the RC Grille with the LED lights with the Jomax adapters. I think that those may work better for this setup opposed to the AJT. Anyone here tried the Jomax?
