What next? (Aka “help me spend my money”)

Ok, so I’ve kind of bottomed out on the mods I’d like to do to my truck, and I’m looking for some ideas as to what the next mod could be. The parameters:
1. She’s My daily driver, also gets put to work hauling my travel trailer
2. I’d be looking to add mods, not necessarily undo anything I’ve already done. The list:
TRD CAI
TRD exhaust
TRD rear sway bar
De-chromed
Debadged
Marathon seat covers
Rubber floor mats
Tinted windows
Bilstein 5100s
Fuel 18 x 9s
KO2s, 275/70/18
Tow mirrors
Factory bed liner
Step bars

I’ve thought about a camper shell, but I don’t want to eat into what little payload capacity I have (need to tow). So, what’s next for Steven? Discuss!

Truck looks great and does what you want it to do ...but...since we are spending your money...here is what I would do:
1. Aftermarket front and rear bumpers
2. 12k winch
3. Diode Dynamics fogs, driving and light bar
4. RCI Skids
5. Firestone air bags
6. On board air compressor
7. Dual battery set up

or

8. A brand new dirt bike to throw in the back on your camping trips?

Just sayin...lol

 

Lights! set of nice LED pod lights for going down that dark backwoods road looking for that perfect camping spot and LED Interior Lights (dome and Map lights) so you can find that darn whatcha call it when you left that flashlight in the camper ....

So, this was one I had on the list until I started reading all these horror stories about extra electrical work that has to be done to support the brighter lights; evidently it’s not as straightforward as just swapping out the bulbs. Thoughts?

 

The airbags and compressor had occurred to me; do you believe I’d still need a weight distributing hitch if I were to install the airbags?

Well with the tire size you’re running, I’d say re-gear it to 4.88’s. Yes, even with 33’s.
I just did and man I should have done it a long time ago. (that’s what everyone says)
While your in there, throw an auburn LSD in the back.

Unfortunately I never seem to have an problem spending more on the tundra!

 

Do you have the charger? If so, what are your thoughts? Any watch Outs?

That will all depend on what direction you want to go, I personally went with the Silver Star ZxE gold for my head lights low beam and found that the Beam pattern to be better than the V-4 LED units I had in at 1/3 of the cost. the LED headlight bulbs are nice super bright however the light beam pattern is better than they use to be but not quite there yet and the cost is still in the upper area where most folks will not invest in a spare set.

I installed LED light pods (ditch Lights) on my Tacoma and have a set for my Tundra waiting for me to get time to install I also went with the Tri- Color LED fog light that are awesome and no special wire work to do at all I went to Cali Raised < https://caliraisedled.com/> for mine because they have very good pricing and support Yeah Yeah they Don't put big white lettering on the units so when someone else see them they go "WOW you got.... those big mega bucks light and wow wow wow" I could not care less about that it is the performance that I look for and Cali Raised led has been meeting that well now for 4 years for me. the picture below on the Tacoma is what $54 gets in the Pod lights gets and that is mounting brackets and all (may have to mod the brackets for earlier trucks but check with Cali Raised first to see what they can do)

I just got mine, and on my list first things are to LED the headlights and cabin lights. Get the wireless charger for the center console. Upgrade the touchscreen to something not so clunky (either a phone mirror or the Tesla-style screen). You have an awesome list already. That's also some beautiful country that truck gets to see!

Diamond back tonneau cover so you can lock up gear and still maintain most of your payload.
Sound system
Auxiliary reverse lights for hitching up at night
Transfer flow 46 gallon fuel tank or maybe a slip tank for extended range when towing your trailer.

I do have the charger, i did a review in the general section I believe. I have an iPhone 8 so it does slide around and sometimes it stops charging. Someone recommended some stick on bumpers to take up some of the extra space. My phone case is kind of smooth so you may not have this problem. Have not got the bumpers yet but probably will. Also the green lights are kind of bright at night if you are not using the charger. There is a off/on button. Though if you shut the truck off on restart it will turn back on. Someone mentioned take a sharpie to it but don’t want it to look ghetto! May end up just taping it off and painting. these two items are just my opinion and may not bother most people. Other than that it has a nice fit and works well.

I didn't see it covered.
On my 2010 the map, door and cab lights were easy to swap with LEDS. just use caution on the overhead as the circuit board is delicate and you can tear if you're not careful and have to solder back. At least on the 2010. These are just the plug and play onces, the dash etc and cargo light to replace with LED circuit board are a bit tougher.

I'd add led bed lights (oem, do a good job and easy to install) to the list of Mods I didn't see it on the list.
Air vent on rear axle. (easy enough job to do)
Steel braided lines on the brakes (makes sense to do this when you replace brake pads)
I would do the NSV light bar in the hood if i had the correct year. (love the scrolling look when you arm the truck).

Thanks for the kind words. Is finding the right bulbs as simple as a google search? If not, can you send a link to what you used?

What is the purpose of the vent kit on the rear diff? I get that it lets air out, but 1) where would the air come from and 2) why is the presence of air bad/suboptimal?
