Skar Audio speaker swap

I finally got all my interior speakers swapped out to Skar Audio. My truck just has the base stereo, no JBL premium, so it was lacking to say the least. We put 6x9 2-ways in the front doors, 6.5 2-ways in the rear doors, 1” tweeters in the side dash locations, and a 3.5” 2-ways in the center channel. What a difference!!! Louder, clearer, and all around better sound! I plan on adding a 4 channel amp to the door speakers this month, and a couple subs behind the seat. Sorry I didn’t get more pics. We were busy drinking beer while we worked.

 

Sweet! I havent heard Skar mids/highs but ive owned a Skar sub, and currently run a Skar mono amp and Skar wiring and they are great products for the money. Im glad u like them, ive always been curious on how the mids/highs sound. Adding an aftermarket amp will only make it sound better!

 

I would remove those plastic liners in the door and sound dampen the doors. I found the majority of the rattle and vibrations in the doors comes from the plastic resonating

 

Nice! What was involved in adding the center dash speaker? There are two sets of wires coming from the sides. How did you wire it? Was it an exact fit?

 

I’m loving em!! They definitely gonna sound better with an amp!!

 

yeah I want to. I forgot to order it before I put em in, but it’s definitely in the plans. I’m gonna do the back wall when I put the subs in too

 

mine had the center speaker already. So it was just a simple swap
