So I've taken a few month hiatus from the forums, been busy in the reloading forums, picked up another hobby shooting and reloading 45acp and 9mm. But I'm back!

Have there been any new and revolutionizing products for trim restoration or is Solution Finish still the best? Was it @Pudge or @War Machine that did a few product testing and found the Shine Supply stuff didn't last long?

Shine Supply’s version of Solution Finish was disappointing. Shine Supply Trim Shied is still the best protectant in my opinion.

Solution Finish for restoration, Trim Shield to maintain.

303 is good stuff for general purpose but isn't even in the same category as the other products described.

I'm not sure what is up with my bottle of Solution Finish. Used it on my sons truck last weekend and it looked nowhere near to black. I wore old clothes and gloves and just in case because it is supposed to be messy. Zero mess, hardly black, and definitely not an ink like. I shook the hell out of the bottle for 5 minutes before use. Looked more like a clear product with a little black.

Has anyone had the same issue?

I haven't tried my bottle yet so I can't comment. Is it really runny liquid or a thicker consistency?

Pretty runny. Maybe I'll shake the shit out of it again and reevaluate. I also tried it on grey trim and it did nothing at all. Sky's the limit said it is dye and would make the grey turn black for the most part. It looks nothing like the videos I've watched.

The black ink must be solidified :(
Did it get really cold or really hot.

No. Ordered this spring when temps were pretty mild for hot and cold.

I shook the shit out of it again for 10 minutes and I finally head a ball moving around. Shook it again for another 5 minutes, opened the cap, squirted some out and was so much better. Looked like ink. Didn't have time to try it though.

Maybe just a bad batch? I’ve never seen it happen, but I’m still on my original bottle I got a couple of years ago. It looks exactly like black ink to me, and gets all over everything. I’ll try to remember to take a pic when I get home. I’m sure Sky’s the Limit will replace it for you.

Isn't there some kind if shaker ball inside it? Or maybe I had a bad bottle that the ink solidified into a solid chunk. Idk I forgot

Another vote for 303. I use it on the exterior trim pieces as it offers UV protection.
