Anyone in the North Dallas area, preferably Frisco area, that has a TRD dual exhaust or Dirty Deeds 10 inch muffler setup?

I am torn between the two and would prefer to hear them in person.

Willing to drive around North Dallas to meet at your convenience.

I have a 10" DD with the Helmholtz res but I'm in Terrell.
Probably too far away from North Dallas for you.
I first had a custom 7", sounded just like the 8", but swapped with Keith for the 10".

I will tell you this, I meet a guy last year to listen to my DD and he loved it.
Not only did he buy a @dirtydeeds muffler, but first he traded in his brand new 4.6 after driving my 5.7...

I'd encourage you to get the 10" DD setup with the Helmholtz.
Buy it, install it without the resonator.
If it has too much drone, install the resonator.
If not, you might be able to send the res back to Keith for a credit, you pay the shipping.

In the end if you want it louder or quieter, he will swap them out as long as you pay shipping both ways.
You won't get that guarantee with the TRD exhaust...

I'm in Frisco too. I'll keep an eye on this thread, I'd like to hear it too, assuming you find someone.

Also, take a look at Kinney's in Watauga. http://kinneysmufflershop.com/kinneysmufflershop.com/HOME.html

He has multiple exhaust videos for numerous different trucks. Check out the ones he has for the Tundras.

I've spoken to him on the phone but can't get a definite answer regarding exact price and what I'm looking for. He keeps pointing me back to his videos, which on line are subjective to say the least. I want to hear it in person. I don't want a system that is too loud. Prefer duals, but don't want the quadruple tips Kinney seems to like (you can pick whatever, but most of his vids show the quad tips).

It is nice that Keith offers exchange for the price of shipping, but shipping is expensive!

Im the “measure twice, cut once” type of person. Paying for shipping both ways cause I bought wrong exhaust would really irk me.

    I'm glad I did it.
I ran that 7" for over 2 years, always felt it was a tad too loud for my needs.
The 7" was a little loud and had a lot more rasp than the 10" has.
If I'd of bought the 10" first, I would have always wondered if I should have went the 8".

Shipping on the swap was around $180.
Much cheaper than buying an entire setup.

I met up with a guy to sell my OEM steps, he had a TRD exhaust.
It sounded pretty much like my 7" did, perhaps a little louder than my 7".
Although he also had a supercharger if that made any difference.

I like the look of the single out over the duals.
Most tundras I see with TRD duals have one of the pipes crooked.

    https://www.tundratalk.net/threads/trd-dual-exhaust-crooked.646898/

I used to be big on duals in my other trucks over the years.
But I like the single out with a welded on on tip on my Tundra.

What I learned in my research, the exhaust videos aren't much help.
I first bought a Magnaflow that had the drone from hell, I then found @dirtydeeds called Keith and he fixed me up.
Some idiot reving the engine in a driveway is a very poor representation of any exhaust system.
The few that drive around are better, but nothing compared to what they really sound like.

I could you meet you in Mesquite or Garland some weekend if you want to hear the 10 with a resonator.
    PM me if you're interested.

I’m in the Frisco area and just took the TRD system off two weeks ago to go back to stock. Unfortunately, missed the opportunity to let anyone hear it
but if anyone decides on the TRD, mine is available. Was only on the truck for 10 months and has the chrome tips.
