Battery issues

Hi, My 2016 4 dr tundra has 60,000mi, I'm experiencing Battery issues, Started great yesterday, 10 minutes later the battery didn't have enough juice to fire her up. I thought maybe a loose connection... everything is tight. I trickle charged it over night but battery level is below half. Could it be an alternator issue? Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Just sounds like the battery is bad. Replace it and you’ll be good to go.

 

If you can get it started put a voltage meter on it and check, should read 14+ while running. Then you will know if the charging system is doing its job, if it is reading 14+ volts then go get a new battery. If you dont have a meter just stop by an auto parts store and they will check it for you.

 

Not true. These trucks are voltage regulated. You’ll never see 14+ volts at the battery on a truck that doesn’t have an altered regulator. 13.8-13.9 is the max you’ll see with 13.2-13.6 after warm up.

 

If you charged it overnight and it is still low it is time to replace the battery.

 

Pull the battery and have it tested at the nearest auto parts store. Replace as necessary.

Thanks for the knowledge! Sorry for the misinformation on my part but it is better to check the charging system rather than just blindly replace the battery. Ive seen it too many times, replace the battery and find out that its not charging.

^ He means Batteries Plus X2 Power AGM (made by Northstar, 5 year warranty), and a 24F ($50 cheaper) will do just fine.
Buy online and pick up from the store gets a 20% discount.
Well, it reads that expired 2/29/2020, bit I think that discount always applies.
I used it to buy my 24F in January..

Agreed, I've never seen over 13.5 in my 2014..
