I ordered my new tundra in October and took delivery in January. Just hit 800 miles on the odometer. I own an auto repair shop here in Clearwater Florida. Wanted some opinions from others before I take the truck back to the dealer to have it re aligned "I would do it myself but why should I have to work on a brand new truck" Has anyone else noticed their front tires look like they are leaning out at the top further than they should. (too much positive camber). I think its going to wear the outside of the tires prematurely. The alignment specs do allow to bring the camber down. Any input would be appreciated Thanks.

I have a 2020 Pro and have not noticed any camber to be noted.

Just take it in and have them check it. They will give you a print-out of the results. I know it's frustrating, but $hit happens.

Because a pro sits 2 inches higher in front but the rest of the suspension is the same for all trim lines and the way the lower control arm is set up and the desire to have as much caster as possible, the camber tends to be positive. This is one of the reasons many need to add adjustable upper arms when they lift the front.
You can get 0 camber but less caster or 3°+ caster but less then ideal camber.

Take it in and have Toyota do an alignment, if you still don't like the numbers you can get upper arms to correct

We had a string of Lexus ES models that were brand new (like new as in hadn’t even been sold yet) that had weird alignment issues. We were doing the inspections and noticed the steering wheel way off center. From what I was told the shipping containers have a wavy floor to keep the cars from moving during shipment. When they were being loaded onto the shipping containers in Japan someone was loading them in to fast and messing up the alignments. Just take it back in. Alignments are covered by warranty for I think 12k miles.

How is the control arms different? Only the shocks and springs are different.
The springs lift the front and the shocks change the ride, nothing else is different, there isn't even a diff drop

My eyeball check says yes there's a tiny bit, but like another person mentioned it's ~2" higher than other trims with the same control arms. So it is kind of to be expected. However, it looks very minor to me and I don't worry about it wearing the tires prematurely. My lifted 4runner I traded for the tundra had worse positive camber and I put 170k miles on it like that and got 55k miles out of each set of tires

The control arms aren't different, but the shocks in the rear are - it may be a technicality - but you said that apart from the 2" lift in the front, everything else is the same.

I've heard. I used to be a medic in the area that covered their "Gold Base" in SoCal - been inside it many times.

I recently noticed my new Pro has a bit of this too...any update on your end? Did you look into it farther?

Mine is the same. It's more noticeable since I put bigger tires on. I like to rotate my own tires so I'll let it ride for 5k miles and see the tread looks then.

I noticed the same on the passenger side, the wheel seems to angle out from the eyeball test. I had it aligned before I purchased it since it was pulling to the right on my test drive and the alignment it seemed to fix it, but it feels like it’s still pulling a touch. It could be the road grade here in the desert, too. I’ll ask for the print out when I bring it in next week when I have them add the bedliner. Is this a common thing with the Pro’s?

Any update? I am riding on the Pro suspension. Got an alignment at the dealer after I installed the Pro kit. I’m at 0.8º camber on both sides (which is “in the green”, for whatever that’s worth).

I can’t help but notice a bit of \ / look to my front tires. It drives great with no shaking or pulling, but I don’t want the Duratracs I just put on it to wear unevenly.

Every time I go to any Toyota dealer in Nashville, I swear it’s going to be the last time. They’re all awful.

@Terndrerrr At 21,000 miles and no noticeable tread wear difference from outer to inner.
