So i love my Tundra! I have a 2020 Platinum and I test drove a 6.2 Silverado Today High Country. No intentions on trading.

i love the tundra's interior more, i just hoped Toyota used a little bit better materials on the upper trims.

Just to compare the differences, The chevy definitely has a lot more advanced features such as cameras everywhere, electronic tailgate ,wireless charging, extra bells/whistles and etc. but also costs 20k more. ehh not worth it IMO.

But the only thing I wish the tundra had similar was the cooling seats on the Chevy, I felt like the Silverado's lowest setting on cool was stronger than mine on full power. I literally froze my ass off lol.

***I already tried pushing cool air through the bottom and it definitely helps***

***I do have 2 floor vents per seat for the rear passengers can i maybe pull one vent and fabricate a tube system to feed the front seats for more cooling power***

Any opinion's on how to upgrade the cooling power?

I definitely might get this feature for the rear passengers as well. For the future!

Sorry no suggestion...we have a Highlander and the cooled seat function sucks at best. Toyota needs their seat supplier to un-eff the cooled seat design.

It only blows ambient air, not A/C air, as it sounds like you've figured out.

Your second idea is prob the only option for true A/C seats:

I don’t have cooled seats, but just wondering does it feed from a different source? I figured if the ac was on, it would be supplied by the same system that blows out the vents.

I’ve rented some vehicles with cooled seats and it felt to me like the seat was wet when it got cool. I’d have to get used to it.

It's just a fan in the seat that sucks air from underneath the seat - it's not fed by any A/C vent. That said, there are two A/C vents under the seat for blowing air to the backseats of the cabin, so if you turn on A/C on the floor, you'll get some cooled air pulled up by the fan. Not much though.

You could slap a degreez system in it from katzkin, but they are around 3-400 bucks. It uses a peltier cooler to cool down the air before it blows thru the seat

Oh. Is that really cooled seats or just a butt fan? The last time I remember driving a car with cooled seats was in a Tahoe and it seemed really cold.

I think that's why Toyota carefully named them "Ventilated" seats instead of cooled.

Just a butt fan, my friend. I wish they were cooled. It's why they call them ventilated seats & not cooled or A/C seats. Real, actual, grape coolers would be awesome.

Anyone look under their vented seats at the fan hardware yet? I’m wondering if a simple fan swap could do the trick. I had a Chrysler Pacifica rental a while back and the vented seats on that were wonderful

I am glad I read this. I have been debating if I want to do just cheap seat heaters under my Katskinz or if I want to the degree because of the cooling feature.
