I installed my 5100s last weekend all the way around with the fronts on the middle setting. Upsized a tad to Cooper Discoverer AT3 XLT's in 275/70/18 yesterday and I think it turned out great! I have a slight rub I have to iron out but I'm happy with the stance. It almost looks nose high in the bottom pic but my measurements say otherwise. (Top 2 pics are a full tank of gas and bottom is 3/4). I think my driver side is a tad lower but I can live with that. Not worth it to me to add a shim.

I'm wanting to powdercoat the stock wheels to black but the shop needs my truck for 2 weeks. We'll see...

I prefer the rake myself. When the truck is dead level, then when you tow or haul anything your ass end sags. My PRO sits almost level from the factory, and I want more rake. Thinking WIRELESS AIRBAGS for towing.

Yeah, definitely is a tradeoff with leveling one out. I sometimes tow a pop up camper but mostly don't tow. I'll live with the nose high syndrome during those times.

That looks good. I have a small lift (3/1.5) with my leveling, and have been thinking about removing it; just a small level in the front.

What's your measurement hub center to the fender?

I use the airbags to add rake on mine.

Nice. I will get running those tires and size when it comes time to replace them this spring/summer. However, no lift/level in my plan for now as the truck does not have a ton of miles....I will lift once I need to replace shocks or other wear items.

Put ride rite bags on back, at 5 psi you will be level again. Just food for thought.
Then your also good to go when hauling heavy loads.

I took these measurements on this road which appears to be fairly level and with a full tank of gas.

Stock height measurement vs 5100s installed:
    LF: 21 7/8" to 23 5/8"
    RF: 21 5/8" to 23 7/8"
    LR: 23 1/4" to 23 1/2"
    RR: 24 1/8" to 24"

I'd like to remeasure on a garage floor or something. My LF measurement was higher than RF before 5100 install and then lower than RF after 5100 install. Probably error on my part.

    Which bags do you have?

I checked them out. Some seem like they are difficult to install. I never thought I'd consider them but I'll see how bad the front is nose high when I hook up the camper.

Say you installed bags but left them deflated for whatever reason (neglect, forget to keep air in them, etc). Does that matter or affect ride quality at all? Don't know much about them.

You have to maintain a minimum 5 psi in both bags per Firestone.
The bags are not difficult to install in my opinion.
I don’t notice any ride difference at 5 psi

Looks great! I installed the Firestone airbags on my Pro a couple weeks ago to use while towing my boat. Not a bad install at all. With the min psi of 5#, it raised my rear 0.5”. I have noticed a slightly rougher ride with the 5#, but it’s pretty minimal.

Nice. So I know it's only been a couple weeks but is your plan just to keep a check on the pressure every couple weeks so they don't leak out? Not sure I want something else to have to keep up with. Still really don't know if I'd even need them anyway. .

Checked all the connections in detail for leaks after the install. Everything was good. A week later, I checked the psi with a digital meter and was perfect. I probably won’t check them again, other than airing up/down for towing purposes.

Did you run the air line out to the rear bumper area for easy inflating?

Looks great!! I just put 5100's all around on mine as well. I'm almost dead even currently but I have 360lbs in the bed for winter. Still on 275/65-18's when I took the sand bags out it lifted the rear .75" so I have a little rake. I also did not have any front end lean like most mine was in the rear due to the fuel tank but it's not noticeable. I love the ride of mine. Had them on for a few weeks and the fronts are starting to settle in and smooth out a bit.

I'm loving the ride with the new shocks as well. Definitely feels better in the curves. I know it only leveled the truck and I gained an inch with the bigger tire but it feels higher than that. Completely happy!

Looks GREAT! Thanks for the comparison pics, this is what I'm looking at doing. Been trying to convince the wife that the middle setting level with 275/70s makes a huge difference but she hasn't been able to see a comparison picture like this until now!

I break my ankle every time I jump out!
Just kidding. I am 6'-4" so getting in and out in itself is not a problem, but it just feels that it is that one inch too high to comfortably slide in and out. Too high to slide in and too low to really step up. An inch lower will be the sweet spot for me.

Ah ok I gotcha. Makes sense lol. Was hoping you'd say something about lift is too rough haha. I've gone back and forth on the 3/1.5 lifts and the bilstein 1500 middle setting. Love the 3/1.5 look but I wonder about it being too high as well.

Yes, there are a lot of discussions about the ride getting rough but that is not really true - it's the same spring and shock as OEM, so the ride is the same, just higher. I won't open that can of worms though - it has been discussed to death elsewhere.
One other reason I would lower it, is that with the 3" spacer you have to add a bump stop spacer to keep the shock from bottoming out. This reduce your up-travel. I drive on construction sites every day and although I never had issues with it, I know that I hit the bump stops all the time. The 5100 shock is a different length and will allow more travel, if that would be a consideration or you.

I've had enough trucks with spacer lifts to know how they ride and the advantages/disadvantages of them. I'm a pavement princess not a rock warrior so that doesn't bother me. Was just debating on the overall height and if wife and kid would complain about or not haha.
