My buddy and I are doing it at my dad's shop this Friday since he closes on Fridays now. Getting going about 6AM since it's supposed to be a 10 hour job. He used to do aftermarket work at an offroad shop local to us and is a pretty knowledgeable and smart guy...and I've done a few simple things like leveling kits on my truck with my brother(used to be a mechanic until he switched to sheriff's dept). So we'll see how this goes. lol

How do you like the tesla style touchscreen? I really have been wanting to go to it but wasn't sure about the quality

    Potatoes.
I ordered my baby 11 days ago and she showed up today. Apparently there's only two delivery drivers in the entire NW, so it took a while.

    Bonus pics: https://imgur.com/a/eGZ3p20

Mudflaps already removed, dual dashcams partially installed.

New tires, 5100's (+1.5" lift), and diff drop going on the front tomorrow. Hoping to also completely debadge if I have time.

After that, need to install dashcam hard wiring and speedometer calibrator.

Old style pro grill and TSS relocation bracket on order.

Debating plasti-dip vs. wrapping the chrome bumper ends and maybe the wheels.

    I'm in love, boys!

    Edit:

The most annoying thing so far is when my Android phone is connected via Bluetooth, mute only works for a few seconds, then it starts playing again. Anyone else have this issue? Haven't researched it yet, but if I find an answer I'll revise this edit.

My only other question is about when letting off the gas, it seems like the tranny is hard on the downshift. I'm coming from a 2001 Dodge Ram, so maybe I'm just not used to the way a real tranny should be working. Anyone else notice this?

Skateboards are the best dolly's for moving moderately heavy stuff around the yard and house.

I have to say that you are a smarter man than I. A few years ago I had the bright idea of tuning up my old pool skate to use while walking my dog. Three bruised ribs later.........it is strictly a tool.

This is my third one and I love it. I bought the very first model one and it did have a lot of issues but once the second version came out I jumped on it. I had the one without the buttons but then I won this one in a raffle on FB. You will find people complaing about these in units saying they are junk and full of issues. Of course there are some quirks but any issue I have and most users have are just setting adjustments. For the price and all the functionality you cant beat it. There is a thread on this forum a d FB group dedicated to the unit.

I have the second version and still love it! I agree, anything thats not liked about it is most likely something they don't know how to configure or don't want to figure it out.

TRD Sway Bar. She’s a bit firmer in the corners now. I can definitely see were it might be too firm off road. I’ll have figure something out if we ever get to go. Or just get another FZJ80 and dedicate it to be a toy.
