Added some window vent/shades and a bed rack. Rack will be used for kayaks or our Thule box top to keep clothes and bedding dry when we head out camping.IMG_20200125_135024.jpg IMG_20200125_141212.jpg IMG_20200223_152019.jpg

So I installed the TRD OEM LED headlights. Got them safe and fast from @Roman and used @iHacker harness. That is one quality harness. I had trouble with the grommet. Had to figure out how to get it through since it is in a awkward spot and made of really tuff rubber. It involved a 14 gauge copper wire, electrical tape and lube.

    She was dirty...

After a wash I always check the fluids. This little area in the washer fluid reservoir drives me nuts. It's open at the bottom, but sealed at the top. So when you fill it up, you get this area that doesn't fill because the air is trapped. Drive a few miles and it all evens out, but then it looks like you've already used 20% of the capacity. It's wasted space that you cannot fill and this kind of stuff tweaks my brain...
    93436858-B8AF-47A4-8CEF-B9BE5E2FAC89.jpg

So today I fixed that problem. Drilled a small hole at the top and cleaned off the shavings. It's a little low. I'll drill a larger hole higher up this spring when it's warm and I have time to pull the reservoir out

What about drilling a hole in the black cap? Less chance of the bottle cracking down the road and the cap is cheaper to replace.

Took it to dealer (yeah I know...) for oil change, tire rotation, cabin filter change. Waited 2 hours, I'm super close to just doing it myself, but with no pull in garage kind of sucks in WI winters.

Proceeded to throw it in sequential, turn on tow/haul mode and took 'the long way home' with no music on. Just the sweet sweet sound of that V8 through my bamf exhaust.

The cavity isn't under the black cap, it's another chamber. Have to drill thru the main chamber to let the air escape as you fill and so the waterline can rise. I can't imagine the hole will create a crack, the reservoir is built like a tank..

So this isn't anything directly related to my truck, but I repurposed something that's been in my garage forever. I used to ride this thing on the street but I'm old now and would probably kill myself if I tried using it. I wanted something that made mounting up the tires a little easier so I tried using my skateboard as a rolling lever to lift the tire up and roll it onto the studs without struggling. I can't be the first to discover this but good lord does it make things easier. Give it a try!!IMG_20200223_161836.jpg

I've heard others struggled with the grommet as well. That was a piece of cake for me compared to trying to depin the wire under the dash. No matter what I couldn't get it to release - ended up winning the battle in the end, but that step wasn't easy for me.

What light bar mounting system is behind the grill and do you like the output? I’ve got a “bull bar” type mount for a 30” I’m not happy with.
