    I just wanted to post a quick review of carplay2air - https://carplay2air.com

Plugs right into the USB and then you connect to it via your iPhone. Setup was easy and flawless. My iPhone connects right to it on startup and CarPlay comes right up and is fully functional. I think this is a "no brainer" for anyone who uses CarPlay (I use it mostly for Waze) and has the wireless charger. I secured my unit with some velcro but will use different velcro with a black backing so it's not as noticeable. So far very happy.

Can you make and receive phone calls clearly/cleanly/without issues?

Not sure to be honest. I’ve had no issues making calls before adding this and I know some people have had issues with just the stock system. I’m in the middle of a flu B illness at the moment and it took everything I had to just go out to the truck, connect it and test it. It maybe a day or two but I’ll report back to you.

Hope you get better soon, look forward to your experience with the unit. It looks like something I must have.

So no issues with calls. The only issues have been:
    1. It connects from the phone to the module via WIFI and sometimes I get in my truck and the entire pairing process is automatic - it will switch from my home WIFI to the Carplay2air WiFI with no intervention. Sometimes I get in and have to select the Carplay2air WIFI from my phone to get it to switch away from my home WIFI.

    2. I can not get the module to update. When I follow the directions and go to the website I get an error that says, "Network Exception" even though I clearly have network access. I have not really done any trouble shooting here and the model worked well out of the box so I do not know how important updates will truly be in the future - they may have zero importance or for all I know mission critical every time iOS is updated?? I'll spend a little time today seeing if I can get that working.

The standard CarPlay screen is all that comes up. From my POV is behaves exactly the same as the wired CarPlay once it's connected.

Other forums give this poor reviews? Buy with caution?

Works as expected so far but it's only been a few days. It's a hack and so my guess is Apple can shut this down with a software patch any time they want. If I can't get the update feature to work this thing my soon be a worthless little black brick. I'd say definitely buy with caution.

Updated fine at the gym. I get spotty service at home so maybe that's why it wouldn't update in the driveway.

Still working well. No issues at all with connectivity. I've made several phone calls with no issues. At this point it's plugged in and I just throw the phone on the wireless charger and everything has been working great.

I was excited about this and was pumped to go order it. Then i saw the price and clicked that little red X in the top right corner of my screen. Expensive and even worse if Apple has a way to shut it down. The cord isn't the most convenient in this wireless world but it's not worth that cost IMO

Received mine yesterday. Installation took about a minute. Only used it today, but so far no issues. Works as described and connects relatively quickly. I'll update again once I have more time with it.
