It truly is the subtle things...

Did a little rewiring, and now the running board lights fade on/off with unlock/lock!



The bed lights are still on the same relay as the cargo lamp.

 

Got and unloaded two yards of mushroom compost. And managed to hit the truck twice with a shovel. Goddammit.

 

What wires did you connect to?

 

When i did this i hooked up to the footwell light.

I am really liking the in-channel, slim profile vent shades. ¿Cómo ven?

 

Gave the ol' girl her first washin' (since I bought it). Also put a coat of Maguires liquid wax on the roof, hood and front end.

 

Installed the TRD shift knob and the body colored mirror caps...officially my first two mods after 1 week of ownership. I ended up using the red non-marring scraper set to pop the chrome covers off. They worked great.

 

Sorry to hear that But I fell out of my chair laughing my ass off. So far 3 dents in my wife’s car all by me. None in the truck as I only have had it 6 months.

 

Love the mirror caps. Did you get those from Sparks?

 

Yes. I just ordered them earlier this week and they showed up this morning. No issues with the transaction...super smooth and easy...the packages arrived w/out issue. I watched the Sparks and the GearRunner youtube videos on how to install. The tip from GearRunner about lining up the four tabs across the bottom was super helpful. Also, the red HF pry set was perfect. I tried using a different set of panel pullers that I bought from them a few years ago, but I found the ends weren't thin or sharp enough to to pop off the cover.

 

anyone know if vinyl wrap will adhere to the black plastic caps? Have some left over from my bumper wrap that I could try if it will stick.

 

Installed a bed rug and undercover flex tonneau cover today. Will do ESP storage tomorrow.

 

Installed the bed rail cleats, ordered a tonnuea cover and running roads, Weather Techs liners should be in early next week. This truck is going to get expensive.

Installed Husky Floor Liners....they fit great...seems to fit better than the set I have in my LX. Just make sure you don't lose the mounting screw and cap for the front passenger side...I almost missed this...(and yes I am aware its in the instructions...)...Would it really kill Toyota to put a set of floor mat locks on the passenger side too? I went with the full coverage option in the back. I got them from @eccracer104 at AutoAnything...super smooth transaction, great price and they showed up this week!! Oh... and my daughter put in battery operated, pink flamingo string lights...well..."because that's what girls do.."

 

So do you have to screw into the floor for that lock? I like the idea of having one, whenever I change my moto riding gear in the passenger seat I end up pushing the factory mat all around.

 

it comes with a plastic retainer with threads that you can screw down into the carpet. It takes a bit of pressure to get it to take hold so they could make it slightly longer

 

A few things fell into my Amazon cart yesterday...stockpiling for when I do the oil changes.

 

Upgraded OEM underseat storage to DU-HA for increased capacity - this underseat space is one of the main selling points for the double cab after all. The DUHA extends closer to the edge of the seat increasing the width of the bin, and without the lids it doesn't restrict the available height.
