    I was thinking of getting one for my 2016, but read somewhere that they scratch the hood.

    Those of you that have one installed, have you noticed any scratches on you hood from the unit?

    Why not just get a 3M Clear Bra? I never liked the look of those hood shields or the window vent visors for that matter, clutters up the nice body lines of our trucks.

    The protection is needed on the Hood Bulge, not the hood. Granted the hood gets damage as well but the Hood Bulge gets the bulk of the damage

    PO of my truck had it and I like it OK so I left it on there for now...

    It also has the window shields. They blend in with the windows so well you can hardly tell they’re there.

    TuwaPro rack, Z1 Offroad stuff, NISMO suspension stuff, FlowmasterFX Extreme exhaust, AIS, OVS, J&L can, other goodies on the way
    So true. I had an AVS deflector on my 2nd gen 07 and worked quite well. The deflectors for the 3rd gen seem to be pretty much worthless. My 14's hood is fine. The chrome hood bulge has taken the debris hits. I've seen nothing out there for protection other than clear wrap.
