Just picked up a 2019 sr5 with the 4.6L! I have a laundry list of things to do to it but my first thing I really want to get into in the exhaust! I’ve searched through the forum a bit but have not quite found the answer I’m looking for I would love a dual exhaust system but am worried that everything I’m seeing sounds great on a 5.7 but will make my 4.6 sound like crap... any suggestions on a quality exhaust that will sound great without having to go to a custom shop to have one built? Also truck is stock no headers and no aftermarket intake..(yet)

Dual exhausts I've heard even on the 5.7 sound bad. You can't get that nice V8 lope sound that comes from a lumpy cam with a Tundra.

I have the Flowmaster Super 40 on mine. I can try to get a clip so you can hear it. Aftermarket intakes are junk and often cause a loss in low end torque and fuel mileage. The best option is the Stock Air Box Mod with a drop in filter like a K&N or AFE Pro Dry filter.

is that going to sound decent on a 4.6 or no? Also is that a full cat back system or am I going to have to cut my old muffler off and have to weld the flow master on

Mine is the 4.6. Mine is cutting the old muffler out and welding the now one in and new pipe from there back. The stock muffler on my 2013 is 2 pipes in and 1 out. Now I'm 2 in and 2 out. I dont know if the 2019 has the same exhaust setup or not.

@dirtydeeds check out dirtydeeds exhaust. Specifically designed for the Tundra and will actually gain some performance instead of losing low end torque. They have different options for varying degrees of "loud pedal".
