I have been reading on this forum extensively. I have decided on the toytec boss lift for my 19 crewmax platinum. Many on here have added a 1/2" shim for the driver side. I am thinking the same. I came accross a post where toytec states not to use the coach builder shim and it will void the warranty. Other people are saying since the coils are adjustable take care of it that way. Seams to me that would preload the left and right different. I'm interested in what toytec has to suggest about my 1/2" driver lean?

You would need a quarter inch shim which equates to about a half inch of lift at the wheel. But since they tell you it voids warranty, which is new to me, the only other way would be to preload that spring. I doubt you would notice that much if at all.

The Toytec Boss coilovers are adjustable so no shim would be needed. You could either adjust the drivers side up or the passenger side down. Mine have been on for a year and still no lean.

What is the correct way to check for a lean?

Measure from the center of the hub to the bottom of the finder.

I don’t have them which is why I wouldn’t know. But I meant I haven’t heard anybody mention it before. That’s all. Been through quite a few threads and I guess I must’ve missed that. It seems a lot of people do use shims to correct lean. And I get with the OP is saying about one side being preloaded more than the other. I’ve asked the same question, and most said it’s negligible.

I don’t have the lift yet but I’m getting the boss coil over lift so I guess I’ll just adjust one side of the adjustable coil

Yes, had them on my other tundra, 1/4 turn = 1/2" lift. I had mine set at 3.5" and had no lean issues, but I also had the 700lb springs due to my bumper/winch combo

Mine also provided about 3 1/2 inches out of the box. You can also ask Toytec to adjust them for a little lean before they ship them to you or they may already be adjust for it. I’m sure they will will be able to help you out. The Toytec Boss kit does come with 700 lbs. Springs so you will be good to go there.

This is mine with the Toytec Boss coilovers and the Toytec shackles set at 1.5 inches in the rear with the Boss rear shocks.

Guess what I finally did lol? I ordered the Toytec Aluma coilovers and the rear shocks with the remote resis. I held off on shackles for now. Two different guys at Toytec said just leave the 2 inch Readylift block in bc there wont be a noticeable difference between the block and shackle. I'll still research that one.

Finally @Tundra234 !! Haha!! I would recommend the shackles over the blocks. It’s a much better ride in the rear but you can easily do that later!! Congrats!!

The shackles are easy to remove it is the bushings that can be a pain in the ass!!!

Yeah that's what I hear. I've had the SPCs in the garage since January so it was motivation to order the setup lol.
