Lift & Tires Q

I’ve searched a lot on here and Tundratalk and haven’t found what I need. I do not off-road and looking for the smoothest ride.

wheels are TSS 20” -50 offset
Current tires are 285 55R20 BF KO2 AT
Suspension: black SR5 shocks and TRD rear sway

Considering either 6112/5160 with some shims/shackles or Toytec Eibach 3” lift. Also considering 1.25” spidertrax spacers

what is the biggest tire I can fit? Right now I’m leaning towards 275 60R20s but want to go as big as I can. Don’t want to deal with trimming plastic

Dropping to an 18 inch wheel will help the ride some. I would get a different offset before wheel spacers. Spidertrax are good, but I wouldn't use them with a lift.

 

Also, a 275 is a little narrow for a 3 inch lift. I run a 3/2 lift with 285/70/18 Ridge Grapplers on an 18x9 0 offset.

 

Agree, moving to 18 inch wheels will give a better ride. And for best ride, stick with standard load tires. 275/65 18 has SL options. Anything bigger and you will likely be E load which will ride stiffer.

 

Would like to stick to the TSS 20s to save cost. But may look at 18s later for sure
