    Hey all, my introductory thread!
My 03 V8 has started a sputter/stutter that I'm having trouble diagnosing. It happens when I crank, though if I let it sit on acc for a few seconds it starts fine, or will start on a second attempt. And will continue to run fine then. It also does it immediately prior to shifts if I'm accelerating hard, or if I gun it to pass or go uphill. If I let off it shifts and runs fine. It's never stalled from it to this point.
When I pulled codes it said bad temp read on the MAF sensor. The throttle body is clean, air filter is clean, and I've replaced the MAF sensor. Battery terminals are sound and tight. Exhaust was just rebuilt and doesn't seem to be leaking.
Any ideas? Spark plugs? A sensor I'm missing?
Thanks in advance, and welcome to me!

Hey just made an account to say, I had the same issues early last year (2 cranks to start, and it would sputter out if my revs hit 3k) turned out to be a blown fuse in the end. I also went through the trouble of getting a new MAF in the process of trying to figure it out. I can't remember specifically which one it was, but I hope this points you in the right direction. Best of luck!

Maybe you can try to back track which fuse you replaced or find your paper work?

Just ran outside and took a look at my fuse box, it was a ATO 10 fuse.

Nice. You’ll help someone out with this in the future if not with the OP. Thank you.

    ToyotaYoda, you're the winner today!
The fuse for EFI No. 2 was blown, replaced it and everything is good! Makes sense now that I know.
Thanks so much for your help.

I wonder why the fuse blew?

Given the EFI 2 protects a number of items(MAF, O2 sensors, FP etc), I would suspect an O2 wire shorted possibly laying on exhaust/cat or even fuel pump going bad drawing tooo much current ?
