Apparently the former owner had someone install a Delco 600 CCA battery, I've never had all that good of use out of any Delco battery and this one gave up on me as well. In checking the price of a right sized Interstate battery it ended up that the local Interstate battery dealer was charging $163 for a 24F, I called Costco and their price was $90 +core, for $4 more I picked up a 27F, 710 CCA, it starts the engine like it was just off the showroom floor. This is all good because I don't like having vehicles in my driveway that don't start. Yeah, the Costco battery is from Interstate.

Tried the VHT on the old ones.. epic failure!! I think the Ceramic coat caused the VHT to puddle! The new ones look better either way!

I'm wanting to do this as well, but your testimony doesn't give me much confidence. Would you do it again or just give the dealer $65?

The only tricky one is the fitting by the transfer case. The front drive shaft will free spin if you're in 2wd to find the zerks. The only zerks you'll have to move the truck for is the rear shaft if you didn't get lucky parking it.

Do it once and you'll know where to find them all. A lock n lube attachment makes it super easy. On and off.

Make sure you know how to tighten and loosen the jaws on the manual grease fitting. I laugh every time folks say they can't get the fitting off the zerk. (It does get harder when the fitting and your gloves are covered in grease as it's slippery to loosen the jaws).

Go look for this stuff at Walmart in the aerosol smellies aisle. The pot smokers favor it. Cleaned the cigarette smoke smell out of my cab after using it a couple days.

Thanks for the tip but did the smell come back? The dealer treated my truck with ozone when I bought it. The smell was gone when I went back to pick it up, but the smell returned a few days later.

The Ozium spray over powers the smells. I used it for about 4 days, couple sprays each day. Haven't noticed the cigarette smell in over 6 mos since I've owned the truck.
