White Streaks on Rims

    Any suggestions on how to get this white film off my wife’s Sequoia rims?

    it’s been there forever and scrubbing it by hand doesn’t work

    they came like that when we got the car

    yes i know the car is dirty in the picture

    Maybe some good wax on a buffing wheel for a drill ?

    They look etched from some kind of cleaning chemical. You can maybe polish them with metal polish but you'll trash the clearcoat. My guess is that you can't do much :(

    I had those same wheels and they done the same thing. When I washed my truck, I'd use tire shine on the tires, when I wiped the excess off, so it wouldn't sling on the side of the truck, I would use the same rag and go over the wheels. It will make the wheels look damn good.

    That’s what I figured

    Somebody probably used Royal Purple or some degreaser and it’s too acidic for the aluminum
