The rear are more expensive without the sensors? If I am just replacing a dented rear cap, I can re-use the extra parts correct? No need to order those other than just the cap?

Weird, isn't it? That's Toyota for you, though.

That is correct. If you're replacing what's there instead of swapping from chrome to painted, all you would need is the painted bumper end itself.

When I check your website with the part numbers listed... those say "W/O Park Sensors - Paint to match" for the ones WITH park sensors? That's pretty confusing :notsure:, why doesn't the website state the details correctly? Also, not to mention trying to buy the matte black door handles... the cap for the drivers side front door does not specify if it has a key hole or not. Its like this on all the Toyota websites... doesnt make much sense but I will be picking up some of these in the near future. Thanks for the info!

The reason being is because there is a third party company who writes descriptions for the parts based off of Toyota's description of the parts. There's no way I can go through every individual part and change their description, or even read through them all to see which ones are right, wrong, close enough, not too good, etc. I try to fix the ones that are brought to my attention, though. :)

When you say the full front bumper, are you wanting the center section painted as well? The reason I ask is because I will have to order the center section that is technically already on your truck and have it painted. Most choose to have their own painted and save the $170 on a new one.

Let me preface this by saying, these are great prices in comparison to other places.

But damn, its hard to drop $700 on two rear bumper corners. I HAVE to do it at this point because I have the fronts done but geesh, its almost as much as the TRD Exhaust I want to do!

ah, yeah. I did. I thought mine was textured so I figured that had to be replaced as well. I know a decent body shop will sand it smooth but didnt know if getting a replacement part would save on labor.

    Thanks for the info!

Nope. Not at all. The textured parts are the painted parts. Sanding them isn't necessary either. Usually, once they clean, prep, prime and paint, the paint fills in the texture itself. There will usually be a little texture still visible, even if you're looking at a brand new Tundra with painted bumpers. It takes a lot of material to completely cover the texture, and to the naked eye, the texture really isn't visible with a normal paint job.

    Roman,

so I would send my chrome front and rears, then they would be painted and returned and I would have to wait about 7-10 to put them back on, is this correct, thanks

You're buying new caps and they're being color matched. You're waiting 7-10 days to get them out to you. He's not painting your chrome caps.

Yeah, you'd keep the chrome caps. The rears are an $800 purchase no matter how ya cut it.

That is correct. You would be buying the plastic bumpers that I have painted by our body shop. Our guys will not paint over chrome parts. Too much of a risk of the paint not adhering properly. Definitely get those performance upgrades done first, if that's the route you're going. Function > form, imo. :D

So the new color matched end caps are plastic vs. the chrome steel ones?

Yes, the TRD Pro and the Platinum models use the same plastic bumpers.

And that's per each side, so $330 for all 4 corners.
