I have a 2019 Tundra crew max 5.7L. Currently 7500 miles on it. About 2000miles ago I began hearing a high pitch sound in the cab when I accelerate. Only hear it when I'm going highway speeds and accelerate. Dont hear it at low speeds or when I'm maintaining a constant speed on highway or when im idling. I can only describe it as a high pitch whistling sound or a dog whistle. Only last a few seconds but its every time I accelerate. Is this normal, or has anybody else experienced this. Thanks

There's a wire mesh that you can either cut out or replace with a different one attached to the throttle body. If you search YouTube you'll find a video showing what to do.

Columbia SC stands for supercharged. Every time I see SC in location, I think supercharged. Haha

It's normal. I have it in my Tundra with the TRD Intake. I only hear it once a while.

Any modifications? Usually people don’t hear it unless they’ve upgraded their airbox in one way or another. Sometimes people hear it with just a filter upgrade to a high flowing unit. Something like a TRD oiled filter aFe or K&N.

In all seriousness, I think there is a fix on YouTube as @BobaChris posted.

I still recommend go SC and then you will hear a much better sounding whine.

Video is very helpful. Good to know it's normal, but annoying. I'll be removing the mesh screen. Thanks again
