    Morning- rant activated!

Is there a high end carbon monoxide detector that has a clock built in so that when the backup power supply, the 9v battery, is going low it knows not to start beeping at 4 am?

There is really no better time to be woken up by a beep every 60 seconds than 4 am. No better time to get out of bed and go bumping into walls down the stairs to get the step ladder, carry it up the stairs and wait around for 90 seconds to see which one is beeping, then pull out the battery because you're out of 9v and need to buy some more.

    Stupid stupid stupid design.

    Rant concluded.

It does suck! Best to change all batteries at least yearly. Some suggest changing at one or both time changes in Spring and Fall.

Yeah, just moved into the house in June and I think these were installed prior to sale. Some of them are hard wired but two of then are cheap battery only ones. I'll be picking up a supply of 9vs to swap them all today.
