I"m seeing $2500 cash back through March 2 in my region. It was $2000 last month. I don't think much inventory is moving based on what I'm seeing on dealer sites, so I'd bet the $2500 will be extended past March 2. I'm wanting to buy in the next 1-3 months, but I know I'll live to regret it if they come out with something ridiculous like 5k or something down the road. I do not want to wait until the year-end even if the deals are great. I realize it's like a crystal ball to ask this question, but for those of you who have bought in the past, can I most likely expect even sweeter incentives between now and summer, or should I be happy with $2500?

In NY it is "only" $2,000. If I were to guess, you live near Colorado. There are a few issues with waiting. One is it may go down to $2,000...a crap shoot. If you wait, it is less likely will build your truck or the one on the lot you want maybe sold. 2021, pricing may go up.

My dealer told me they don't even know what the future will bring. Toyota makes the decision based on sales figures. Slower moving models get higher incentives.

My guess is a friend was looking at the same time I was and found Colorado had $2500. Here is the link for Toyota Deals, Incentives & Special Offers: https://www.toyota.com/deals/

I made a post about future incentives not too long ago. No replies. So nobody seems to know the future. I finally made the decision to buy. I had the opposite concern you have. What if they dropped the incentives?
I actually made a deal with the dealer, that if they dropped the incentives for the month my truck came in they would hold it to the next month hoping it would be reinstated. But that will not be a concern of yours if you take a truck off the lot. It will be a concern if you are having the truck built. Seems they can't apply the incentive unless they have a VIN #. So if your truck is being built the incentive of the month the truck applies will be the one you get. Hopefully that makes sense.

$10,000 would be a better incentive knowing the mark up they have on it already.

Yes, it would be nice....But unlikely. The dealer did mention that the highest he ever saw was $4,000. He said it is usually based on sales.

If gspdawg wants to wait until years end. But his selection will be decreased and they may not build a truck to his specs. Then again, it depends on how picky you are.

    T-Guy69,
I'm not going to wait until year-end. Haven't even thought of building one to my specs, but I know of 2 in an radius I"m willing to travel that I would like. One doesn't have the predator steps I want and the other does. Hoping the experience goes well in the next month. It's crazy what some dealers are asking for these rigs. From one dealership to the next on just their website for an almost identical truck, paint scheme, it's thousands. I'm not going to even mess with the ones that are jacked up. No time for that bs.

Bought mine in late August after new models were out. I was concerned with available inventory and rebates ending. 2 weeks later rebates bumped by $500. I think September is good time for rebates and availability. I could have even waited longer. My original plan was to buy at end of year.

How many dealers do you have close to you that you can deal with? Here in Ma., i had over a dozen within a 100 mile radius and i tried to work them all against each other to get the best deal i could. All had the basic Toyota rebate talking points, but some were willing to work with me, and others weren't. In the end i had 3 dealerships give me their bottom dollar amount for the truck i wanted, and the difference was $3k in the end. Not sure if it was worth all the haggling i did for those few Months, but i think i did the best i could under the circumstances. :notsure:

Basically I agree with the above. You mentioned you don't want to wait until end-of-year sales (which I agree with. Not even sure they are real). So find all the dealers you feel comfortable traveling to. That should include out of state. I considered dealers in Penn (Del Toyota, but they would not make a reasonable deal) and Rhode Island. The more dealers you have competing, the better. It can be frustrating, but someone will eventually deal. Also use Edmunds and other sites to get bids. You expand your search and get dealers working for you.

Predator steps are an easy dealer add-on.

Does Toyota release what their rebates are going to be early? I’m curious about Tundra rebates for March. Or do they wait until the first of the month?

I mean, it depends on the market and other factors. Last year the rebate on paper was $2,000, but I ended up getting almost $8,000 off because it was in March 2020, when *NOBODY* was buying trucks, and they were desperate to sell. Two months later, *if* you could find them, some actually paid a markup.

New rebates are on the website, in CT they just extended the 1k off until the end of March.
