Going to look at a 2014 cm tss 4x4 Friday. Best I can tell it's all stock. Carfax looks good. 2 owners and no accidents 185k miles. Anything to look at or for in particular or any reason to shy away from it? From the research I've done best I can tell the only common thing I can find is crap fuel mileage.

    Thanks.

Mine is awesome BUT be aware the 14's only have a 25-gallon gas tank and not the 38-gallon they went with starting in 2015. (It's my only regret...she's a 4x4 and a tank in the Colorado Snow.)

Thanks jim. I'll bring a flashlight to check it out. Best I can tell the leak isnt terrible. So if I could talk them down enough to fix it then maybe still be worth the buy?

Depends...is the leak on the heads/valve cover or underneath? Both can be spendy depending on severity...don't be in a rush and you'll make a better decision! Ask to see what recalls have been accounted for and what maintenance has been completed at the given intervals suggested by Toyota...

The seller is a lot that buys and sells wholesale Is there a way to look up what recalls have been done and what recalls it has? Carfax showed toyota has done a lot of the service on it for the life of the truck.

I gotta say, my SC 14 is a beast...a super sleeper and a worker! Small tanks makes me giggle...until fuel prices go up...than I'm scheming ways to reduce costs without giving up on the truck!

Passed on the truck. Everything was good at first. No cam tower leak or any other leak. Drove good. Stopped to look it over more and had no low beam headlights. Took it back and dealer said no worries. Then battery was dead. They pulled bulbs. Both lows blew and a blinker out. While looking under hood a good bit of the wiring was wrapped in fresh electrical tape. Just to many red flags. Was the best deal I've found so far but I dont want to fight an electrical bug. The search continues.

Yikes...smart move! Nothing will drive you crazier than trying to track down a electrical issues. Keep looking...I'm seeing lots of used Tundras for sale here in Colorado...I'm temped to upgrade mine (but not enough to actually do it..she's paid off!)
