Front bench row seat? Any of you out there?

Just wondering how many are out there. I was close to buying the truck with a center console but I liked the idea of a front bench seat.
Any cool mods you can do that you wouldn't have been able to if you had a center console?

I have one in my 2nd gen! I personally don't really care which one I have, just so happened hat the exact truck I wanted had it and I wasn't going to base my decision off of what console it had. I like it a lot, lots of arm space and I've surprisingly used the middle seat sever times. I also like the two extra cup holders you get under the AC controls.
No cool mods yet for it that I'm aware of.

My 2017 doesn't have the extra cup holders you speak of. It kinda bums me out only having two aside from the door holders.

To me the bench seat is more practical. I don't see any negatives at all. It also doesn't make any difference if it's a column shifter or a floor shifter. As long as it works.

I'm surprised! I'll see if I have a pic of mine, no clue why they'd get rid of that in the 3rd gen.

Who needs a bench seat when you have a couch as a back seat in the crewmax.

Idk about you but not a fan of cramming a 4th guy in the back seat.

I thought that only some Regular Cabs got the front bench seat? That's all that I've seen them in.

I specifically wanted the bench seats: 6 seats when needed or 7 in some cases ! You can check my $10 cup holder mod. Every time I show people that it seats 6, I get oohs and aahs! Cuz usually it's big ass cavernous center console. Only negative is the shifter is frickin long and takes effort to shift out of P. Also SR5 is top model with bench seat and only comes with 26 gal tank. Would've love to get 38 gal tank. Don't think u can get CM TRD Pro with bench.

Wish I had a bench seat sometimes just for the extra seat. Plus never hurts when your woman can slide over to the middle seat.

I love my front bench seat. With 5 in our family, the 6th seat belt is a great option when taking along one of the kids friends or one of the grandparents. When deciding to buy, my wife wanted the extra room of an SUV and I wanted a truck, the front bench option was perfect. To each his own...and I love the extra room up front.

Looks good. Still very surprised they got rid of the pull out cup holders under the nav screen.

I just got a 17 CM TRD with the bench. Love it. But exactly like leminh says bummer no large fuel tank. Had a Raptor for a work truck for a while, hated the console.

I'm in the same boat as Bargecrew: fam of 5. And we are small Asians, so we can fit 3 in front and 4 in the back very comfortably. I gotta try 5 in back one day! Lol

Wanted the bench but it is nearly impossible to find in SR5 trim with the 5.7.

Really? Was as much in stock as 4.6L when I bought. Definitely get 5.7L. 1mpg worst but you get so much more for only a little more $.

It depends on where in the country you live. If you live in CA there are a lot more options for the bench but in the midwest the SR5 upgrade package throws the bench out. I am not sure you can even get the TRD package with a bench. Going to try and build one.

That said, I do like the center console.

Edit: It looks like you can have the bench and the 5.7 with the TRD package if you don't want the big fuel tank. The SR5 upgrade package comes with the big tank and the center console. For 2015 they did not offer this option.

I have the console, the same console that I slammed my right side into when i totaled my last truck (I met a tree on a cold dark raining night in October). The console broke 2 ribs and cracked a third.
My 17 - console, because I'm a glutton for punishment.

I opted for the bench seat and I will not be doing the same on my next truck. Thought I would use the middle seat a lot but it has been used maybe once (May have to trade my gf in for a newer model). Would much prefer the extra storage. Plus you cant add a cool TRD shifter for +25 HP if its a column shifter!

I think the extra storage alone outweighs any advantage of having another seat up front unless you have a big family.

Just my opinion but I've always thought the console is more luxurious and 'expensive looking'
