You got that right, I need a locker in the rear of my Sequoia, anybody know of anything available, that would be compatible with the independent rear-end ?

I want that bed storage too. Hope they can be bought from Toyota and retrofitted.

Overall it's nice the Yota is offering a couple more choices. It's a start. I just don't understand why at a least a real LSD isn't offered for the Tundra.

SR5 with a fancy bedliner. Toyota is like Apple vs Samsung when it comes to innovation. They are lagging behind. Could they not have upgraded the tailgate?

Toyota refuses to put all terrains on their “off road” versions.

Hey that's 17mpg highway. :D seriously though, if you're going to have an offroad version like the trd pro or this new one, at least put some good tires on it like ford does with the raptor or chevy with the trail boss.

    Very uninspiring.

And those bed lockers look like they were thought up in the parking lot right before the show.

Maybe it’s me... but I’d take one of the forum members older Tundra’s thats been dialed in and customized over these “new” 2021 trucks!

I wish they would have given the Tundra a different grill with the Cement surround so I could swap mine out without buying multiple grills....oh well.

I like the idea of them. Tell us, what would you come up with? How would you improve them based on that one photo we got?

I wonder if the "Nightshade Edition" is still going to have all of the mismatched trim parts on the interior.

I saw the video of them. They had them in the Tacoma and Tundra. Personally, I thought it was kinda lame. The Ram Boxes are a much more intelligent design and add to the truck imho. These plastic stamped afterthought boxes just don’t do it for me. Sorry.

And this “Trail Edition” with no true off-road tires, no locking differential, painted plastic bumpers instead of some kick-butt off-road brush guards/aggressive bumpers... it just struck me as uninspiring.

But you can get a Toyota yeti style cooler now... (insert sarcastic emoji here)

Bottom Line- I like my Tundra. It’s a great, proven platform. Just my opinion on these trucks at the auto show they were showcasing. They just don’t do it for me. That is all. :)

But if they were the same as the Ram boxes, we couldn't retro fit to earlier models.

So you don't like the boxes, ok.

This is why there hasn't been a fully redesigned Tundra.

They keep looking in their Parts bins and seeing they still have old wheels, headlights, and trim pieces laying around.... So the tint them up and rebrand them as "Trail" or "Nightshade" editions of the sr5.... Without even a designation badge!

We are getting hosed with nothing new besides the somewhat interesting bed boxes/coolers. Sounds like they are continuing to clear out old inventory before we see anything really New
