Is anyone else having the issue where 50% of the time the blue tooth audio connection will not connect to your phone? What’s odd is that the phone feature connects every time but in the last few weeks it’s been a 50% hit rate to connect the Bluetooth audio portion.
I have an iPhone XR FYI.

I’m going to also search how to check for updates as well

Yes, I have been having this problem when more than one phone is paired. So even if my phone is set to primary, audio will always go to whomever (wife, son, etc.) paired most recently. Then when I try to change the audio source to my phone, the screen just freezes. I have to disconnect and re-pair. So I've decided to due my final "re-pair" to the unit and am picking up a new Alpine Halo9 F309 from Fed Ex tomorrow. I'm having second thoughts and like the functionality of the Pioneer W8500NEX, but don't like the look as much as the Halo9. But that's how I am fixing it.

Nice! Yeah actually I’ve been eyeing that as well but I’m not sure I want to jump to spending that just yet.

the screen separated from the dash look is becoming more popular in newer models which is another reason why I’m warming up to it.

My XR just started doing this occasionally. On my stock head unit I just depress the HOME button and Volume knob until it restarts the head unit. It is a pain, but it has only happened a few times. Good luck.

Since install on Wednesday, Alpine Halo9 has gone to work and three separate 200 plus mile round trips and worked as assumed for both myself and my wife with no issues.

This is an expensive system. I paid $780 for it on Amazon. The Maestro harness, Scosche Kit, and other adapters ran me to exactly $1,000. But now it looks and sounds like the unit the truck should've come with.QDEtRNenSb68vM+tzrSB8Q.jpg

    LED headlamps/fogs; interior footlamps.
Mine connects but the audio cuts out for about 1 second every 30 seconds, may try connecting via hardwire instead, old schoolish....
