Yep. My phone, tablet and TV are all Samsung and flawless. My washer, dryer, fridge and dishwasher are also Samsung. Each one, except the washer, is a piece of shit in some way. They came with the house so we're saving money up to replace them as each fails. My friend's wife works at an appliance shop and gave us the run down on which brands to go with.

Washer/dryer: Speed Queen. Top load, all mechanical dials. They're designed to be easy and cheap to service...if they ever need it.

Fridge: Whirlpool or General Electric. Solid brands who know appliances. Good after purchase support if required. Easy to service.

Dishwasher: Bosch. Avoid their budget line up, buy the mid to upper price range lines. Better features, better desigin, more quality components.

Ive actually got three broken Crafstman ratchets here. I haven’t exchanged them because I’ve been told the Sears employees will keep the older ones like mine for themselves instead of sending them back. Apparently they’re much better quality so they can repair them and keep them. For some reason I’d rather have my broken ones than let them have them.

I’m doing the same thing. Our whirlpool dryer was on the fritz, and the washer has been ok for the most part since 2012.

I have 2 broken ones too and they are the vintage craftsman, the Sears guy told me the same thing! Got lucky enough to have one of the sales guys there tell me that it could be fixed with a little effort and time! Gonna take his advice as they are both better made than anything you can buy now!

Last time my dad tried to get one repaired they handed him a baggie of little gears and bits, and told him to have a nice day. He threw it all in the trash on the way out
