Looking to purchase a hitch receiver with a D Ring. Does anyone have any suggestions?

I’ve read multiple reviews on ones on Amazon but many have poor reviews or corrosion issues. And most good “reviews” are 5 stars because they look nice but haven’t actually been tested. I don’t want to worry about failures under load especially with how lethal that can be. This is my first truck so this is all fairly new to me. Appreciate any insight

I bought this set up. I wish it was made in USA, but it was somewhat difficult to find. I was going to try and build my own. Pick out the beefiest receiver I could find and then buy a USA made shackle. But I cheaped out. I don’t leave it in the receiver unless I’m going on a off-road trip. But even then I keep it in the storage bag it came in. Should stay in good shape for a long time.

Also bought this. It’s made in USA.

Sorry no reviews, as I haven’t gotten stuck or had to pull anybody out, yet.

Just a plain Amazon cheapie. They'll rust if it's loose in there and rattle and peel the paint off. Mine did, but I didn't really care. But we don't really do any difficult crawling where we get stuck anymore so I'm not going to keep mine in there anymore. Best thing to do is to only put it on when you need it.

Trying tokeep it simple and not carry too much weight, I just use the pin in the receiver now.
