Finally getting a phone with wireless charging after my wife decides which phone she wants (I’ll get her old one)

I now I have reason to order this and certainly will be...

    But I discovered this..

My first thought is "what keeps it from sliding off in a turn?" Looks like it is a rubbery surface, but I'm sure it would still come off in a fast enough turn. I'd like to see some more reviews of it. Also, having to drill a hole in the current panel that's there in order to mount it kinda turns me off too.

Interesting- kind of reminds me of my Tacoma, though. Whereas they put the wireless charger in the only little spot in the console you could store gadgets, gum, etc. I love this little storage space in the tundra and would not want to have to move everything to put a phone there.

I think that is interesting too.
Might have even considered it if I saw it before buying the console charger.

But I would miss that cup holder in that spot.
It is already full of stuff..

I’ve been using mine daily now for the past month, so I figured it was time for a review. Overall I love it.

    Likes:
    - Fit and finish. It looks and feels OEM
    - Charges faster than I expected
    - Makes good use of an otherwise worthless space.

    Dislikes:
    - Auto-on at each startup. That green light is very distracting at night
    - Slippery surface lets phone slide around. And who hasn’t dumped the phone into the back when they open the console?!
    - Wife tosses my phone so she can charge hers

    Ideas for V2.0:
    - No auto-on. Leave in power state last set by owner. Alternate ideas are to dim that green light or allow the owner to turn off the lights.
    - Add some way to secure the phone. Maybe a small version of a cargo net. Keep it from sliding around and/or falling off when the console is opened.
    - Bonus design: Put a heating element in there. Keep my burger and fries warm when I’m eating on the go.

This one someone here (some electrical genius) should be able to figure out right? At least that's what I am hoping for!

Chinese charger works mint. Got it installed fast. Taking the screws out is what’s time consuming. But works perfect. Glad I saved almost $100

Seems like it would be easy to put a toggle switch in.

This complaint sounds like a bad infomercial  I'm just picturing someone launching their phone into the backseat by opening the console and them having a horrified look on their face. Just pick up your phone before opening the lid.
