I'll play devil's advocate on this one. Maybe the sun was shining in the windshield and it wasn't clean. Like hazy on the inside.

If it was either/both of the others then fuck that guy.

I ran the wire under the center console, to the passenger seat, through a hole in the body under the seat and used a grommet that’s meant for wires to seal it. Wire runs along the passenger side frame rail to the back where it goes up through the tailgate drain hole and it’s got a connector in the tailgate so all I have to do is pull the tailgate panel, unplug and I can remove the tailgate

Or a seizure/medical issue, I always try to remember that before I write someone off. Unfortunately, it’s almost always texting or drinking.

Natika. It picks up the handle a bit even with it all the way I can get it. But it’s a nice metal unit.

Picked up my wheel paint. Tried some 1500 Wet Sanding on my side doink paint job. Polished it. Looks better! Might need to spray another Gloss Coat and do another Wet Sand with 2000 grit for an even better look. I’ll live with it for a while and see how it goes.

Appreciated that it didn't need anything...looked at it again while I curse this stupid BMW X3 of my wife's. I can't get rid of this thing fast enough and get a Sienna for her.

Dude I feel ya, wife had a 2014 up until last month. She hit something in the road and blew both passenger side tires. Front tire shredded and then proceeded to destroy the fender and all kinds of other expensive junk. Once the damages got to $14,000, they called us to say they were gonna total it.

I was so happy to get out of that thing. Don’t get me wrong, we both loved the car but it had around 77k on it and I had a feeling it was about to start getting super expensive.

I love the feeling of knowing that I could literally replace every single part on my Tundra and still not even spend that much.

yeah, It's been great but at 110K miles now it's starting to nag and it keeps saying, "Daddy, daddy, I want a new valve cover even though it's only the gasket that's bad. It's only $400 in parts." :(

My wife had an 05 with 200k when we got rid of it. I was tired of fixing the little things that were only hundreds of dollars. Like that evap or whatever emmisions system canister thing. What a pain in the ass and not cheap. It was a decent car honestly, but there are too many horror stories of transmission shudder and what not. Who the hell can fix that? I guess it requires reinstalling all the trans computer files. What a joke.

Yesterday I installed my retanked radiator. The top tank was split 6 inches in length. $75.00. New tank and clean out. I always take my radiator/gas tanks to Slavens Radiator in Selma, California, for the past 25+ years.

Finally, got my truck "finished" yesterday for the rear axle leak...it only lasted for about 1 minute though. I hopped in started her up, and she moved! Got to the stop size, pressed on my brakes, buzz buzz buzz, the abs kicks in. It was not slippery and a fairly slow stop. Thought that was weird so drove it around town and it kept happening. Brought it back to them, but I should not have. This didn't happen after the first time I went in for the first time, so can't be the sensors unless they damaged one this time. Does anyone know maybe they damaged possibly a sensor or the abs toner ring on the axle would cause this?

I assume you mean the ABS was activating in the rear only? I was having false ABS activation in the front left wheel. I replaced the wheel speed sensor and that didn't fix it. Ultimately our forum Toyota mechanic told me it was most likely a damaged tone ring. I ended up pulling the ABS fuses. If they were working on yours, it sounds like they may have done the same thing. I would hold them accountable. Let us know what they say.

(Camper conversion underway.) Rebuilt engine w/265K miles, A.R.E. camper shell (w/cab pass-through, rooftop fan, and side windows delete), bedlinered steel ladder rack (w/wooden rooftop deck and hammock mount), all LED lights (red dash, 4" side floods, 32" rear bar), Android head unit, 1.5" lift from Bilstein 5100 struts, 32" DuraTrac tires on factory rims, 1.5" wheel spacers, Moog suspension parts, SuperSprings leaf kit, diff drop, Reese trailer brake control, GoRhino Hitch Step, debadged, F-150 rear bumper, Sequoia center console unit upgrade, partial rear bench seat delete, dashcam, aftermarket speakers, 50% sound deadening coverage, custom tools unit.
This exact thing happened to me after I got my rear axle seals replaced. I took it back to the shop and had to pay a hefty sum for a brand new axle, which fixed the issue. I'm sorry that I don't remember the details as to why the ABS was being activated, I just know that the seals continued to leak because they wouldn't seat properly on the damaged axle. I wish I had done the differential breather mod way sooner because this is definitely the Achilles Heel on our trucks.

Knocked two "to-do" projects off the list today:

    1. Replaced the driver side CV axle - a boot was torn BAD, so I figured it was just as easy to replace the whole thing. My son and I did that - mostly him, since he rolls around on the floor on his back easier than the old man, LOL.

    2. Seafoam upper engine cleaner treatment. Considering all the GUNK I leaned out of the throttle body a week or so ago, decided to open it up again and do this treatment. Wow, the carbon that came out ... holy smokes! (dad joke).

Took a stab at removing the bottom trim on the front bumper. Seems like the 2 bolts in the middle are inaccessible. Curious how the other member reached them or if he just cut them.

Anyone know what kind of coilover’s these are? Look pretty beat up but I could maybe rebuild them.

Its been awhile since i removed my bottom trim but i dont remember cutting anything or having any screws that were hard to get to. It seemed to come off in just a few minutes.

Yeah I was pressed for time. I just cant see how to access these. Can't see them from the top or bottom. Just went out to the garage again. There is a steel crossmember that runs along the front. I can't even see the bolts.

Finally got my LBJ’s replaced, ordered the wrong castle nuts (for ‘03 instead of ‘06) so they had to reuse the old ones, bummer. New bolts and pins though at least? Also had them throw on the 5100’s in the rear, didn’t want to mess with the rusted top bolts. As expected, they had to torch them so well worth the $40 to have them installed versus the hour plus I’d had to have spent.

Body shops usually will do caps cheap. It’s literally just sanding unless you’ve got cracks.

No pictures, but I picked up a nearly brand new set of 4 wheels from a friends 2018 4Runner for $100! Not the Pro, but the standard ones from a TRD Off-Road. Pretty amped
