    That's awesome, congrats! I love reading these stories. This is also the reason I searched far and wide, and decided to go with a Tundra vs. any other half ton.

    Congratulations.
    You mentions some things you did and did not do. Did you change the diff fluid or how often did you change it?

    When I was a kid Toyota used to run commercials with trucks that had 500k miles. Those commercials and stories like your’s are why I bought a tundra. Thank you for sharing.

    Hell yeah man thanks for sharing! Every day I hope mine makes it to that mark, currently at 125k. I love hearing yours are all short trips, because that's what my miles are, too.

    Let's see...

    125,000 + 6,000x = 400,000
    125,000 + 6,000x -125,000 = 400,000 - 125,000 = 275,000
    6,000x / 6,000 = 275,000 / 6,000
    x = 45.8 years

    Guess it'll be a while before i get there...:(:p

    So it's a 5.7...I'm impressed. I'm one of those just watching this engine to see how it does in time before I go moving on up. So you had absolutely no problems with the drive train? Well keep on trucking, and we will be watching for that half a million mark. :popcorn:

    thanks for the info. You just saved me about $700 or so. The dealer is trying to push a front and rear diff change, a power steering fluid change and a “fuel system cleaning “

    Wow, I only have 850 miles on mine in the 5 months that I have owned it. I guess it should last me forever if it will go 400,000 miles.

    Are you capable of climbing under the truck and using basic hand tools? A few years ago I had never changed my own oil, now I do most of my maintenance. There is no reason on this earth to pay someone to change the diff fluids. Unless you're not physically able. If I can learn, anyone can.

    Skip that fluid system cleaning. Those are bullshit IMO.

    No kidding. I don't understand the logic there. Fluid changes are one of the easiest things to do, and typically cheap. That has to be the blackest diff fluid ever seen.
