Awesome idea, I love that the stock Tacomas now come this. Ill buy one as soon as the V3 is released for the 2020s!

Thinking of doing this myself on my 2016 CM with the Entune Audio Plus, Non Navigation.
Just wanted to see how everything is holding up?

@TundraTex - I have factory Entune but have replaced the under seat Amp and dash speakers - will that affect operation in any way?

Just got my FRAC harness installed... excellent customer service and an outstanding product! I've been driving one Tundra or another since 2012 and it is very difficult to gauge where the nose is on them. The FRAC will eliminate the guesswork and is not hard to install. I chose a slightly more expensive camera, but feel the quality is better with this unit:

It comes with a long pigtail that has enough video cable to take a lap around a crewmax cab and power/ground length such that I was able to just fish it into the cab with the power lead going straight to the FRAC harness while grounding it in the passenger footwell common ground (fewer steps than in the cheaper cameras.)

Forgot to mention... don't go plugging/unplugging things with the power on and truck running... that 3amp fuse blows quickly Rookie mistake

 

This was actually my first mod, its been great so far, no issues at all, its been 3 years also.

I received the harness this week and got it installed. Being a retired engineer, I’m damn slow at doing anything, but do a good job when it’s finally done. I have attached a few photos. A photo of the camera in the front grill near the emblem. The wood rod was 8 inches in front of the bumper. I left the color bars on for now. My truck was at an angle to the garage, hence the distortion. Thanks Lou for a great product.

Hello, everyone it’s my first post but I’ve been searching the forums for quite sometime to get an idea of what I want to do to my tundra when I get it. I may be purchasing a 2014 crewmax this weekend but it doesn’t have integrated navigation. So I am planning on running an aftermarket head unit to accommodate this, probably a kenwood. But I want to use the frac harness also. Will the frac harness integrate with the maestro unit and the aftermarket head unit? What else do I need to purchase? Will the VIM switch still work with the aftermarket head unit? I apologize for my ignorance but I like to get everything in place so I can do it all at once and narrow down the options for the head unit. Anybody that can help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I don't have an answer on whether this works on the 2020, but here's where I put my camera on the 2019+ Pro grille:
