Yep, been a couple times. You’ll want a tow strap for sure. I keep a radio, strap, compressor, tool kit, and a winch. Going in a group is a good idea. I’ve always been alone so I was unable to push it too crazy in case I got stuck. There a quite a few spots with super soft sand way in the canyon. There’s a mud hole, a training course, and tons of interconnected trails. But there are many bikes, quads and side by sides ripping through that whole place. Just gotta be careful of them.

I'll try to make it. Knee deep in a bathroom remodel currently. Hope to have it completed by then. :fingerscrossed: Haven't been out there in about 20 years or so... :( I think the Lockwood/Miller Jeep Trail is out in that area too. :notsure: I hear it's a fun trail also. l also heard its closed from November thru May. :(

I agree with BlueRibbon’s list except suggest these additions: always carry a shovel; at least one gallon per person per day of water; shade (can be hats, long sleeves and pants, a blanket) and sunscreen.

Aside from that, in my experience,
you can skip a compressor the first trip out... air up in Gorman before you hit the freeway; and you can go years in SoCal w/o needing a winch....
