On the focal speakers, ordering from eBay overseas, did you encounter additional fees for customs? Did it take longer than normal to get product

So would a complete taco system be recommended? Looking at complete system with recurve/image dynamics speakers and sub box with 2x12 ?

I have no experience with ID speakers and subs but the Tacotune amps are holding up fine for me. @Netmonkey is very happy with his setup without the recurve

Yeah I just like how it is a very clean install . I was told it’s not the loudest but it’s one of the cleanest sound systems. Think I might blow the lock off the wallet for it thanks guys for the info .

I had 35x12.5x20 MT but they were too loud and had problem with rubbing because I didn’t do the body mount chop

Awesome setup! So you don’t have any rubbing issues with the -18 offset? That’s the same set up I want to do on my ‘18 platinum

OP, so after having the Dasaita HU for some time, how is it holding up? I have a kenwood that I like but would LOVE a bigger screen, been wanting the Halo9, but cant get myself to spend over 1k it when this is less then half. Only thing I wish the Dasaita had was an HDMI port.

edit: after looking more into the newer unit the px6 it looks like it comes with HDMI as well.

The HU is great, no complaint. Yes, definitely get the newer unit. Faster processor, latest software, and it has hdmi.

for sure man! I stayed up till 2am looking at the dasaita thread you made and looking into that new one. My biggest concern with the new one is how easy it is to remove the actual screen, so theft could be an issue and the “dasaita” wording on the bottom is ugly lol

Yes, very happy. Thinking about adding 2 more 10” Focal subs under the seats this summer.

im having a issue on finding a ported box for my 2018 crewmax can you help? I hate they have all that padding/foam under the rear sets. a under steat box would of been 10x easier.

This is the box I have. Porter box for 2-10” shallow mount subs. Goes behind the seats

Gotta go custom. James Taylor built mine.

you’re not going to fit any subs under the seats.

You can install subs under the seats if you do custom boxes.

Yea. But nothing that shallow with such small airspace is going to have the output of the ported box behind the seat. And SQ is still phenomenal being it’s built to exact parameters and it gets louder than I’ll ever need for normal listening lol.

@916tundra I emailed Iris, Dasaita Rep, to verify correct Canbus harness and any other dongle/adapters required for an install on a 2019 Crewmax non-JBL with factory amp. Do you know if there is a different Canbus harness or other required adapters with JBL or non JBL systems?
