I ordered my 2017 Trd Pro CM Cement on Sept 5 and I'm wondering what the wait times look like for anyone that has ordered the same truck.... The dealer initially told me 12-14 weeks. I don't have a build date yet and I'm not even sure if they were allocated one. Can anyone shed some light on this process and what I might be expecting, please!

I read that thread already. It sheds a little light on the process but I just feel like I'm getting jerked around and not being told the truth.
I don't think a dealer can just order a TRD PRO without being allocated one. The dealer made it sound like after I gave them a deposit
it would be ordered and the wait is 12-14 weeks. Do you get a build date on custom ordered trucks? I haven't gotten one yet.

The 12-14 weeks time frame is what the Toyota manufacturing plant gives to any custom orders, that is also the same lead time to all of the vehicles ordered. If you place a deposit on the 5th of September, I would start the to count the weeks from the 15th of that month. Typically the order will be placed around that time and in about 2 months the dealer will be given a build date and vin#.

I highly doubt you're going to get that deal even if you worked at a Yota dealership.
I think that's dead nuts dealer cost or pretty close to it, not to be confused with invoice price.
I am paying invoice on a CM with no additional dealer fees.

This is what I was thinking since the dealership gets allocation, I believe, twice a month. I know they have not been allocated my truck yet because when they do, they get a build date. Also, I know regions are only allotted a certain number of TRD PRO's per quarter. Hopefully I jumped on the wagon early enough that I wont be waiting until the new year.

Give your dealer a call in about a week and have them check on the order. If the order was placed on September, asked them for the order or production status. This is another way to check that they do have one on order for you. If all goes well, you have 6 weeks down 6-10 weeks to go.

where you at? I think Pros are in higher demand in certain parts of the country and dealers are pretty firm. I had a dealer offer me a TSS at $6k off sticker about 4 weeks ago. I am not buying a TSS but since it is still on their lot I would like to get another quote on it. In fact the truck has been parked in the same spot for at least 6 weeks. There is a white DC Pro just north of DFW for a little over $2400 off MSRP.

I'm in upstate NY I have a couple emails out to see what they can do. Most tundras up here go for 2400-3000 under the MSRP. I'm trying to push for 4K off

sales managers can be your friend...or good sales people. They can see the "Status" of your truck. A=Allocated B=Build F=Freight G=Ground T=Transit (if I remember my codes) then they might have to Dealer Trade to get it. Its a process, but hang in there!

How's your build date holding up? Mine is scheduled for 1/27 build. Anxiously waiting myself.

You have way more patience then I do. If they go over your original quopted date, ask to speak with HR and tell them to make it right. I had a similar issue and asked to speak with HR and I ended up getting a lift and tires. I was pretty stoked.

On the same boat here, anxiously waiting for my PRO. Ordered my on the end of September so I wasn't expecting it till February.
I actually found a Toyota associate that works at the San Antonio plant and he was able to find my truck order. My PRO is on schedule to be built this week, through QC, and out to the railhead by the end of the week. He said to expect it in the first week of February.

I believe the Cements are on a two month on and two month off build cycle. Maybe why your wait is so long.

If a certain color is only available for a particular model year, that Ext color is available to be built anytime witin that model years production time.

There is a 3-4 months lead time on production, this gives the factory time to build up stock for the dealership to order from.

When there's is a custom/special order, the factory will only take those once a month. It will be put into the factory que the following month and schedule to be built on the 3rd month.

The issue with the TRD PRO'S are certain regions are only allocated a number of order per month which is divided up to the dealerships in that region. The problem is that a particular dealer will promise a customer that they will order them a PRO assuming that will be allocated one but not knowing when. This is when you hear people waiting more than 4 month for their PRO.

You do hear of people saying they ordered one and it showed up the very next month, I do believe that it was already ordered and they just happen to be the first one to inquire about it at that dealership.

U sure? I was under the impression that the plant was only spraying cement every other two months...maybe someone who works at the plant can chime in...unless you do. Then I'm an idiot.

checked inventory yesterday in DFW and there are several available. Dealers are even listing discounts to MSRP. One dealer had 3 listed last week. I really doubt that he has 3 in stock. I think some of the listings are just teasers to get people in to the dealer.
