Yes, plug and play. I just did mine last week. Took me 1 hour.

I actually got the kit on Amazon through a Toyota dealer

I was looking at new Higlanders on Toyota.com and they have the tailgate locks in their accessories section under TUNDRA accessories. Are they all shipped form that Florida Dealer?

Now the question is...... is it quieter than pop n lock and other ones or you can hear it from far away?

I feel like like it is pretty quiet. I don’t have any experience with the pop and lock.
I had a video I took but can’t seem to post it

It's the same concept as a poplock but with plug and play wiring harnesses.

You can hear it when you're at the tailgate. But when I'm at the driver door I don't notice it at all.

I have a 18 D.C. Long bed, do they make a OEM kit for my truck?

Love 8ft beds, wish they made a crewmax long bed. I installed the kit on my truck and the only difference you'd have with the 8ft bed is obviously the wire harness needs to be longer, you could order the 6.5 bed kit and just cut the wires around the connectors since it's not in wire loom there and and just add a foot or two of wire, obviously not optimal but would work. Personally I have a camper shell so that's why I wanted the power lock. Out of pure curiosity, why put a power lock on an open bed? Worried about tailgate thieves?

With the Pop&Lock, I recommend some sound deadening material.

The P&L works great, but it is loud. Take an empty metal gas can. Drop a spoon in. Shake the can. That’s what it sounds like.

    Quick roof works for this.

That is a photo from earlier this year. I sold the box and have a Soft roll up cover to get as lite as I can when I tow so I’m not overweight when I pull my trailers. And not that I’m to worried where I live, but I work in Philly and my Forman had his tailgate stolen off of his truck in the daytime in center city. So even with a open bed is would still be beneficial to have a lockable tailgate

I just bought it from a delray, fl dealer. They have more options for trucks than I can get here, in pa, or most places around the country. I don't know why but call Ed MORSE in fl. They can tell you what they have. I know next time I'm getting these super bright fog lights. They're 565.00 installed.
